2025 packages watch...

Are you looking at a specific site or page on website for these packages? All I saw were regular prices and whew….i sure can’t afford that. Please let me know if there is a “special offer” that I’m not seeing…thanks!
I book through Costco to get the Disney gift card. For my trip it was a $240 gc. Special offers pop up for different times of the year, usually pretty close to the booking dates is when the specials will be offered. We went in June and in May I was able to call and get a room upgrade and a $700 refund/price adjustment because of a special that applied to my travel dates. Just keep checking! If you book now and a special is offered later during your travel dates, call and try to get that applied to your trip!

I was able to book a room for runDisney event in January but zero luck for July.. and I have tried many different dates.. is it sort of blocked or really sold out?
July was open for me. didn't have any issues with blocked out dates, try again. 100% no way already fully booked!

I never do this option. My leg could be falling off and I'd still go.
I guess it depends on the component parts of your trip and the modification options. For a domestic trip, how are you able to cancel each thing? Are you booking a package?

I always book everything separate - tickets, hotel, flights. With flights, I can modify without penalty (just fare difference) or cancel and get a flight credit. With tickets, they don't expire until January of the following year and you retain the value even if they do expire (I buy through a third party). For hotel, I stay offsite usually and I'm not charged until check-in, and cancellation policy where I stay is 3 days in advance for 1 night.

For travel insurance, read the fine print to make sure what you want covered is covered. At a minimum of $100 (or more), the only risk for me is 1 night of hotel. I don't really see the value in travel insurance for a trip to Disneyland.

Yes, flight cancellations or delays could happen. I book on a credit card that will reimburse me partially for a trip delay. For example, $500 if I can't fly in until the next day. This is better IMO than travel insurance.

If doing a cruise or international trip, my opinion about travel insurance changes - particularly locations with the potential for severe weather.

I agree with you: Cruising would be my only time to buy insurance. A Disney Cruise is on my bucket list.
