2025 Ground Transportation

Upon further review...I found the ground transportation......it simply said purchased. At what point will they let me know what time the bus to the ship will be? And as far as catching the bus to the airport....is that time assigned? Is there some leeway if your flight is later in the day....what time ya have to be off the ship?
Are you staying at a hotel the night before the cruise?

For the transportation to the port, it depends on where you're picking up the bus.

The busses to the airport leave as they get filled, that being said, they really really really want you off the boat by 830/9?

Thank you.

Yes the Beach Club Villas.
We're staying at Copper Creek Villas prior to our cruise and it's my understanding that we'll get information emailed to us 1-2 days prior to embarkation day by DCL (though I don't know for certain - this is the 1st for us leaving from WDW as well). I was planning on asking the front desk when we get there as well.

Whom did you book your cruise thru?

We booked through a family member who dabbles as a TA on the side. We tend to know more than they do when it comes to booking Disney trips, so a lot of time is spent "ok, now please do this for me". LOL

The information about getting an email from DCL prior to the day wasn't from my TA but from a response I saw somewhere when I was curious about the same thing and tried googling it. Not sure how true or up-to-date it was.

If there is someone else out there who has experience with getting picked up at WDW the morning of, @DISNEY FIX and I would love to hear your tale. :)

The pick-up times for pre-cruise transportation from WDW resorts will vary from one cruise to another. It depends how many guests need transportation from each resort. Expect it to be somewhere between 9-11am. Luggage will need to be ready earlier, I think 7am (maybe 8am).

Post-cruise DCL buses from Port Canaveral to MCO will depart as filled. Debarkation begins around 7:30am and DCL is really urging guests off by 9am. That isn't a morning to hang around the ship, there is nothing other than breakfast and you have to vacate your staterooms by 8am.

From a WDW resort I've always had the letter in my room the evening before (except one time when something didn't print but I called my TA and she made some calls and I was able to pick it up at the front desk when I picked up my dinner.

If I remember correctly coming from the ship, because you've had to give them flight information when booking, they have that. You'll still have an assigned time because they need to turn the busses around. Also everyone has to be off by 9 or so anyway so they can turn the ship to get the next group of passengers - who are just as excited to get on as you were - on.

How does the airport to Port canaveral bus work?

We're staying at holiday inn MCO before a cruise next winter and were going to get an uber. Wondering if the bus might be more "disney"

Do we just book and then head to the airport and hang about like a bad smell until a bus arrives :-)
