Just curious, I'm going to be heading to Disney in Jan of 2024; how early can reservations be made?

11 months prior if using points from that resort, so February 2023.

7 months prior if using points from another resort, so June 2023.

If you do not own DVC and are hoping/planning on renting either from an owner directly or through a rental service, I would warn you the first weekish of January books quickly, especially studios in the "popular" resorts. The Run Disney Marathon is the first or second weekend based on what day of the week NYD is and that weekend fills quickly! So, I would start working on your rental plans now. If your planned time does not include marathon weekend, availability will be better and you have a little more time.

Yeah, we went a couple of years ago about that time so I remember it being tough to get rooms, one of the reasons I want to start early

BTW the Marathon is generally the weekend before MLK weekend. So sometimes closer to New Years and sometimes a little further out. For 2024 I expect the Expo to open on Wednesday Jan. 3 and the Marathon itself to be on Sunday Jan. 7. Studios will book up quickly for all those nights, so if you're an owner, I'd be ready to book at 8 AM sharp at 11 months! If you want to rent during those dates, I'd be getting an owner lined up this month, ready to book when the 11 month window opens.
