2024 Dues. First hint?

Over at CoasterBuzz, there is a thread where someone collects the most cick-baity headlines at WDWNT, followed by a short summary of what the article actually says. There are some doozies, but here are a few of my favorites in just the past few weeks:

Disney Refuses and Rejects Firework Viewing From Guests, Extra Payment Needed (after hours ticketed events require a ticket)

Disney Park Suffers “Plague”, Multiple Attractions Refuse Guests (Rides have downtimes. Unfortunately yesterday at Epcot two rides had downtimes at the same time)

Disney’s Jungle Cruise Closed Indefinitely Following On-Ride Incident / Disney’s legendary Jungle Cruise attraction is no more, at least for the foreseeable future. (A boat on Jungle Cruise stalled out and had to get towed.)

Are we to assume they've planned for 7 years to put Murphy beds in every DVC resort during a soft refurb? I doubt it. Those beds were expensive to install and seem to be a recent phenomenon that started after RIV based on member feedback.
When they announced that RIV would have those Murphy beds, which I think was in December 2018, they also stated that the Murphy beds would be installed in all DVC resorts as each one was refurbed. SSR refurbishment began in June 2019 and included them, and so did the 2021 refurbs of VGF and Poly. So yes, they were already planning to install them before getting any feedback from RIV. (And since several in RIV were installed incorrectly and came loose when RIV first opened, initial member feedback might not have been enthusiastic.)

Very nervous about OKW this year. I have about 300 points in AKV and 300 in OKW. The increase in AKV is fine. Any word on OKW? I do think that the older non-coastal DVC (i.e. non-hurricane / non-hurricane insurance) should see smaller percentage increases than the newer resorts. That is, CCV should go up more than BCV, as the overhead costs should be somewhat similar, though CCV, as a newer property, has lower MFs. But who knows? It's a gamble.

What would be the point in installing murphy beds in OKW? The studios are roomy without them.

OKW studios have 2 queen beds, no sofa bed, so they wouldn’t be installed there anyway. The Murphy beds are to replace the very uncomfortable sofa beds in other studios as well as in the living rooms of the 1/2BR villas. They aren’t for increasing floor space, they’re for letting guests sleep on real mattresses instead of sofa beds mattresses!

However, I’ve read that OKW probably can’t get the Murphy beds in the living rooms there due to position of windows and walls. And the 5th floor of BRV did not get them because of the way the ceiling slants. So they can’t/won’t be installed everywhere, just wherever they can fit.
