Considering a 7 day cruise. Would like to go on The Wish but there doesn't seem to be any 7 day cruises on it. Am I reading it wrong? Do you think The Wish will offer a 7 day?
Darn it!Other than the maiden, the Wish is only doing 3&4 Night sailings during the opening season.
We are making a 7 day cruise on the Wish by doing a 3 day and 4 day back to back.Darn it!
Never thought of doing that. Wouldn't have crossed my mind as an option but I like it. Do you have to leave ship after first cruise and then re-board for the second cruise? We are making a 7 day cruise on the Wish by doing a 3 day and 4 day back to back.We only do 7 day or longer and finally got the push to try a back to back.
Probably not anytime soon. The Fantasy offers 7 night cruises out of Port Canaveral, so that base is covered. The Dream is moving to Miami. So that leaves a space at Port Canaveral for 3/4 night cruises, which are more "entry-level" cruises that help attract newbie cruisers to the line, easily allow for a combined DCL/WDW trip, and which are very profitable on a nightly basis. At least until another ship comes out, the Wish is probably going to stick with 3/4 night cruises out of Port Canaveral.Do you think The Wish will offer a 7 day?
We were on the Fantasy and really enjoyed it. Just wanting to go on new ship especially since there is so much appealing to my husband, which is rare. I've never taken a cruise less than 7 days because I always felt that after 3 or 4 days, I'm just getting comfortable and in the zone and I have to leave. We are not planning on cruising until Fall or Winter 2022. Maybe it will change?Probably not anytime soon. The Fantasy offers 7 night cruises out of Port Canaveral, so that base is covered. I think the shorter ones also are so you can plan WDW trip add on if you would like.Considering a 7 day cruise. Would like to go on The Wish but there doesn't seem to be any 7 day cruises on it. Am I reading it wrong? Do you think The Wish will offer a 7 day?
I think you're right. But I think going forward, as a family, we will be doing less park time. I don't want to cause a debate, but the cost, the long lines, ADR's, I could go on and on....are just not that appealing anymore. The Fantasy was my husband's and daughter's first cruise and they absolutely loved it. My daughter really enjoyed Castaway Cay. Wouldn't mind doing a double dip there.I think the shorter ones also are so you can plan WDW trip add on if you would like.
I have to agree with you there. It is hard for my family to fly cross country and cruise but notI think you're right. But I think going forward, as a family, we will be doing less park time. When I lived in California, it was a pain flying to Florida. We didn't have a major airport near us so we had to fly out of Monterey Peninsula Airport to SF and that added to the cost greatly. Two days were always taken up just by air travel. Even before Covid we were getting disenchanted with WDW. The price increases I've seen across the board on everything is crazy. I've only been looking at 7 day cruises and haven't even paid attention to B2B. We'd really like to do a different ship but I don't think my family would like the Dream or the Magic. to visit WDW bit the ways things are now it is not appealing. Wish looks like a beautiful ship and
we will try her next year and hopefully by then the park will have settled down in all areas and we can
visit. I haven't looked lately but B2B on Wish is obviously more costly than 7 night Fantasy. But is it big
difference?

My wife and I are doing an 8 day cruise on the Wish by doing the 5 night maiden voyage followed by the 3 night DVC member only cruiseWe are making a 7 day cruise on the Wish by doing a 3 day and 4 day back to back.We only do 7 day or longer and finally got the push to try a back to back.
That sounds wonderful. We're DVC too. Are you using your points towards the cruise? My wife and I are doing an 8 day cruise on the Wish by doing the 5 night maiden voyage followed by the 3 night DVC member only cruise
We really liked the Fantasy. And will probably do it again. A bummer though is the itinerary. It's the same as the one we went on 5 years ago. Tortolla, St. Thomas, Castaway Cay. I've been to St. Thomas so many times. Growing up my father would take work trips there and I'd tag along as well as cruises I took in my 20's. To be honest, I'm pretty certain we'd just stay on the ship, except for Castaway Cay. And I'm fine with that. I just want to relax, zone out and spend time with my family. With the pandemic and recent passing of my mother, it's been hard (for many as well). A WDW vacation is not relaxing for us anymore.Fantasy is a beautiful ship. Honestly I'm usually one of the last off the ship. My family practically have
to drag me off. lol My cousin just got back from WDW and sent me pics of the crowds. She dropped about
6k there. Even with all the changes/protocols DCL is going through right now I'm leaning toward it being
a better value than the parks at the moment.

Thank you very much. So thoughtful. We're thinking of going on a cruise in November 2022, maybe Spring 2022. Thinking Spring 2022 nearly sold out if not sold out. A double dip on the Fantasy would be a definite yes. Unless The Wish would somehow become available with that, unlikely though.I am very very sorry for the loss of your Mother. This has to be a tough time for you.
Just to let you know when I spoke to DCL cast member yesterday the Fantasy Itineraries are
subject to change. I myself asked if maybe a double dip. She said possibly but depending on how
things play out around the sailing date. Covid has completely changed travel for now and future.
Hang in there and again my condolences for your loss.
