I didn't see another post yet. What are peoples predictions for the Halloween 2022 parties? Announcement date? Ticket sale date? After hour event again (boooo) or a full fledged Halloween Party return? What do you guys think?

I thought the after-hours parties were a huge success. Didn't they sell like crazy? I don't care if there is a party or not. I just hope they don't pause Disney Enchantment in place of special fireworks. I will be at WDW in September for a limited number of nights before another trip and want to see Disney Enchantment. I'm afraid I'll miss the 50th fireworks if they decide to go back to MNSSHP.

tempted to "report" your comment lol. but you might be right. i'm hoping they got enough complaints last year, especially with the Christmas party, that they think twice.

The Christmas party sold out even at astronomical prices last year. What complaints did they get? We thought Very Merriest was great - basically an after-hours party meets MVMCP. I think we can expect the Halloween version of Very Merriest. With parades, fireworks and character meets back, I don't think they can give us a scaled-down Boo Bash again (which was awful, IMHO). Prepare for high prices. Personally, I'm happy to pay for an amped-up special WDW holiday experience.

Thanks for creating this thread, always fun to see you in the spotlight!

I'm really hoping for a regular MNSSHP this year though it's tough to say we'll get one. I really haven't been keeping up with the news. It's nice to see Meet & Greets are back.

I will say if the prices this year are crazy high and the party is scaled back, we won't be attending.

Thanks for this thread! We are planning a trip to Universal, but, we are loath to miss Disney entirely, and the halloween party would be perfect for us, as our daughter has never been trick or treating and would love it! I am keeping my eyes peeled!

I would imagine there will be a few more as people anxiously await an official announcement.

That's sad not to mention disrespectful to the original OP, peeps should look before creating new threads. There's no difference, once it is official and the new thread is posted, there's only one.
And that's the way it should be so we don't have to sift through pages and pages.

at the risk of sounding stupid here, what is the main difference in the MNSSHP and the Boo Bash ? We went to the MNSSHP YEARS ago , and we will be in Disney in Sept, so I was hoping they would have something for Halloween again.... when I saw the Boo Bash, I honestly don't know what the difference is, other than the name.....

I'm going off of my bad memory with prices and hours, but...

MNSSHP was a longer (and better? and cheaper?) than Boo Bash. Boo Bash was strictly an "after hours" event so the event didn't start till late (10pm?). For MNSSHP they closed the park early so we had access to the Halloween festivities from roughly 6-midnight. I think the consensus is, everyone hopes MNSSHP returns and that the Boo Bash was kind of a one and done thing, that only "had" to exist how it did because of Covid precautions/uncertain-ability, etc.

I'm sure someone will chime in with more accurate info, but this gives you the gist.

I'm really hoping for a regular MNSSHP but I dont' think I it will be.

I think Disney will go back to traditional parties with a price increase I’m sure. It has been since 2019 that we’ve had a full fledged Halloween party though right?

MNSSHP started at 7 p.m. and ended at midnight. However, you could enter MK at 4 p.m. with your party ticket or 2 p.m. for DVC member.

After Hour Boo Bash started at 8pm and ended at midnight, 4 hr. very costly event.

::yes::
Hoping for Christmas parties to come back too!

Same crap as last year only with parades and fireworks. Oh and twice price.
Twice the price??? Yikes. I went in 2010 and it was our FAVORITE trip to date. The MNSCHP and parade were the highlight of the trip, but I remember it being pricey then... wow.
