Long time lurker here. So excited that we were able to book our first AbD for 2022!! This has been a long time coming and hopefully the first of many AbD trips for our family. After over a year of fantasizing about traveling during this pandemic we landed on visiting England and France. My husband and I are both history-buffs, Disney people, and excited to have Disney "take care of the planning." We booked an adult exclusive London Paris trip for April 2022. I've read through trip reports, YouTube vlogs, and other blogs, but I'd welcome any advice leading up to an AbD trip, specifically the London Paris trip. We're planning to arrive a few days early so we can explore Bath and London, and also plan to stay longer in France to explore Paris and (of course) do the Disneyland Paris extension.

Thinking about traveling is our little mental escape as we handle online learning, working from home, and all the madness that comes with this pandemic so I appreciate this Forum so much. Thanks for letting me share!

You're going to absolutely love it! My first ABD was the London/Paris adults-only and it got me so hooked on the ABD bug. Be prepared!

As far as advice, I would mention that the time you spend in London with ABD is shorter than the time with France. So take a look at the itinerary and figure out where you'd like to go that's not covered. In regards to DLP Extension, it might behoove you to look to see if it's easier/cheaper to do it on your own (But your mileage may vary on that)

Awesome! I'm glad you had a good time. Good idea on the DLP extension. They don't have the dates or rates out yet -- they estimated June or July. I know by booking it as the extension you get fast passes and discounted room rates for Disney hotels. You're right though, we'll look at that and then do our own analysis if we were to do it on our own. Good tip - thanks!

The only other thing I can think of that might help is maybe get a VoIP account that does international calling as opposed to burning up your minutes. We used Skype when we made all of our calls

Congrats! DH and I went in Oct 2019 although I've been to London several times (and Paris, too) it was still so nice to have the guides and ABD take care of everything. I agree that it seems like there's less of London so if there are any "must see/must dos" on your list, I'd take that into consideration. It was a very good trip although my favorite part of the entire trip was riding Dumbo as the sun rose so I do hope you'll add on DLP.

Did the London/Paris ABD in 2019 and loved it. We had been to Paris before but not London. I'd suggest a few pre-days in London, as is suggested by the PP's, because there is just so much to see/do there. We enjoyed some simple things like high tea at Fortnum & Mason. Amusing incident - I'm not a tea drinker so I ordered coffee. The world didn't end. :)

Also did a dinner cruise along the Thames that was fun. And shopping at Harrods was an amazing experience. They've got a great food hall there. Wanted to to a side-trip to Greenwich but didn't manage to fit that in. Would have been fun to straddle the prime meridian with one foot in the East and one in the West. Well, some of us are easily amused. We also made sure we had fish & chips in an authentic British Pub.

In Paris there was less for us to do on our own because we didn't really have extra time. Also, we had been to Paris a couple of times before. Would have liked to see the inside of the Opera House.
