2020 ticket sales??

Some people are saying that the AAA passes are no longer available

I can confirm that. I read on here Sunday that you could get them through AAA and I was able to put it in my cart. I decided to think about it and on Monday it was no longer available :sad1:

I'm telling myself it's better to have the money in my account rather than than tied up in an AP I won't use until Nov.

I wanted the AP voucher as a workaround for park reservations. I rescheduled my cancelled March trip to early Nov 2020. I already have a 5 day PH. Now my mom is going with me and she doesn't have a ticket yet. I would've transferred my ticket to her so we could both reserve parks now.

My next trip after Nov will be March 2021, so it's even better to wait and have my AP start then. As long as the price doesn't increase. This is making my head hurt

I see park availability wide open through the end of 2020, with the exception of the first two weeks of reopening, then only SOME park availability but just for those two weeks.

I have to believe they will at least open sales for Oct - Dec but it will be first open to resort reservation guests? Any predictions?

There's certainly a lot of pent up demand and folk waiting to buy tickets. Disney simply doesn't know how well things are going to happen on flow as well as COVID is surging right now with 11k new daily, so waiting to see if government reacts to this too.

Optics is everything for Disney. Opening ticket sales in the middle of rising counts will not play well in most settings no matter the amount of lipstick.

Following. Curious how they will handle those with 2020 reservations but no tickets
Maybe the same way they handled DVC members with bookings prior to opening. "Enjoy Disney Springs, and your resort pool!"

I wonder if they will cancel the resort rooms if they decide not to sell anymore tickets. I can't see them not selling more tickets for 2020 unless they close again due to higher numbers. However, the local AP ticket holders will continue to reserve, I'm guessing. Right now they get 3 days at a time so as time passes we'll probably see more yellow parks just from AP holders repeatedly attending the parks.

lol, Disney will not cancel a hotel stay just because you don't have tickets. Also they don't care if you have a hotel reservation and no tickets.

Also NO ONE except DVC members at DVC resorts can book 2020 stays.

Disney will only cancel your hotel if you are booked at a closed resort.

Plenty of non-DVC guests already have 2020 reservations, though. And you currently can change a 2020 ressie to a non-DVC resort if you wish, provided that it's scheduled to be open.

I was talking to the other guy who said "current AP holders will continue to book" hotel reservations in 2020 to get more than 3 days of Park Reservations.

I said nothing about current hotel guest booked. Plenty of people are currently booked in 2020 and many (myself included) need tickets.

And my comment stands "Only DVC can make NEW 2020 DVC hotel reservations"

Also waiting for news. We are due to travel at the end of October and booked our DVC stay 11 months ago. I have an active AP but my husband does not.
I'm hopeful that they will begin re-selling APs soon so that we can both get our park reservations.

I just did a quick search on the boards for any threads about 2020 ticket sales - found this one so here we go!

We just cancelled our DVC Vero Beach vacation in August and now all we have left is our Thanksgiving trip for this year. I never got around to getting tickets and then it was too late - and now that August is out I DEFINITELY want to get my hands on park tix for this November trip because we are all losing our minds over here doing nothing in our house and two trips cancelled already (march in HHI and august).

That being said - I don't think Disney is considering closing again or delaying opening.

I've heard August for 2020 ticket release - but I guess i'm wondering if they'll just open it to people with resort stays or to everyone who wants tickets.

If this entire situation wasn't stressful enough, I love getting assistance from a cast member who has no clue what is happening.

I chat with member services. I ask if Disney could at least say yes or no to weather or not they will sell tickets by my July trip. I understand "later this summer", but there is NO way Disney doesn't know if they will be selling tickets by July 18th. I'm ok with a YES or NO. If Disney has no plans to sell by July 18th, say so!!!

The agents reply: "No tickets are being sold until after Disney announces the park reservations system" "once the park reservation system is announced, please check back"

I'm sure the whole thing is pretty miserable for the agents, too, although that's "cold comfort." It's tough all over, as they say.

I get it, but they are being paid to provide any info they can. Providing false info does not help anyone.

Then when I said "the park reservation system has already been announced and is live"

The agent said "I already answered your question, do you need anything else?"
