We just came back from 9 nights at POFQ and are now saving for Oct. 2020. I would love to try a deluxe resort. Tell me your favorite and why. It will be me and my 21 year old grandson

Hmmmmm....I have a few top favorites, but with a 21 YO young man with you I would consider teh BEach CLub. The proximity to Epcot and the Boardwalk makes that a favorite resort.

I also love the Poly. It is convenient to both Epcot and the MK, and is is incredibly relaxing.

Beach Club is our favorite, due to Stormalong Bay.

Epcot resorts: Beach/Yacht Clubs or Boardwalk. We've only stayed at Boardwalk and will do it again because we can walk/boat to 2 parks.

Beach Club is our favorite. We love the theme, the pool, and the location.

For adults I feel the Epcot resorts are the best location on site. There is so much going on within waling distance.

DW and I have stayed in the Boardwalk many times and enjoy the theming and the proximity to Epcot. Also every room has a balcony.

If you are pool people then the Beach Club and StormAlong Bay might attract you.

Have fun planning!

All I can say is be careful, once you go deluxe it’s hard to go back ;). Ok not really. I always thought that once we stayed at Wilderness Lodge after Port Orleans riverside, then we tried Port Orleans French Quarter and loved it! Also really liked Coronado Springs. For your 2020 trip I would go with those above that Beach Club May be a great choice, just depends if you’re waterpark people.

I would choose something in the EC area so you both can enjoy those 21+ beverages and have a nice boat ride back to the resort...or you could walk.

Beach club. It has the best pool. You can do the lobbies and restaurants of any resort at any time no matter where you're staying even if it is off property. The pool on the other hand, you can't.

I would consider Poly or one of the Epcot resorts BC/BW. One thing you can look at doing to save some money would be to do a DVC rental -- such as through davids. This pretty much gives you access to any of the DVC resorts -- book 11 months ahead to get you pick of where you want to stay because October is a very busy DVC time. Just to check out the price you can go on the davids dvc website and put in your dates (it may not have 2020 dates but you can use 2018 or 19 for an estimate).
