Has anyone seen availability for BC for anytime in August for free dining?? Besides the 2 bedroom CL room. Tried Visa deal for early August dates too with no luck.
I did the same thing. There were 2 couples in our one room at CBR. I downgraded to Pop and got 2 separate rooms for 8 nights each. The difference was only $160 per couple. Well worth it to have our own rooms. Now I need to cancel the other reservation and it won’t let me do it online. Calling today seems like madness. Here’s hoping they are ok with us waiting to cancel. I wasn’t even sure it would let me book the same dates on 2 different reservations but apparently it works! Before today, my family had a bounce back offer booked at Wilderness Lodge for 5 nights in December (Standard Room). I was able to get free dining this morning in a Standard Room at Coronado Springs but with an added night, so a total of 6 nights. My new reservation was $110 cheaper than my Wilderness Lodge bounce back. While I hate not staying at WL, I still believe we got a good deal out of it. An extra night plus free meals, all for $110 cheaper than I was paying.
I still have to cancel my WL reservation though, but I'm not calling today. How long will Disney allow you to have 2 reservations for the same time period? If I call in a few days to cancel the old res, will that be okay? Any thoughts are appreciated.
@Dale Begley Similar for me. I already had a reservation at ASMu with the exact amenities that FD was requiring, hoping that I could just use the change reservation button. Nope... When I go into my MDE account, it says I still have the Summer Room Offer w/QSDP but it shows the payment balance as what it should be for FD w/the QSDP. When I go to "My reservations and tickets" it shows that I have FD w/QSDP, but at the bottom of the page it shows the cost as the full charge, without deducting the $200 I've already paid... but I cannot hit the "check out" button. FINALLY, to complicate matters further, there is an offer in my cart, which I DID NOT put there, for the same FD offer BUT upgraded to the DDP (which is what I want to do in the future). No email from Disney, no charge on my credit card, and no freaking way to get through on the phones. I am going to sit tight for now. I took screen shots of everything so hopefully my FD is there.
Try using Firefox for your browser. Open up Firefox and in the upper right corner there's an icon that looks like 3 parallel horizontal lines. Click on that and choose "New private window." Then go to disneyworld.disney.go.com and see if you can get into your MDE account that way. It's an incognito window, won't let any website track you or add cookies, etc. That's been working best for me, so that the Disney site doesn't just default me to some old page.
We did for the November/early December dates right at 180 at 7am. But we were able to book several same day reservations while we were down there- including BOG lunch and CRT dinner. So I’m not going to stress too much this year.
I swear.. I'm so frazzled right now. I did the all nighter, then I was able to modify online. Now the PIN code that I got about a month ago is finally working for the room we have and it's giving me the best price. So I guess I'm on hold (wait time now said 60 minutes) but there is no music playing. Just silence. Am I screwed? I don't want to hang up if in fact this does go through.... What should I do????

I really really want to do Ohana for dinner one night and I am super worried I'm gonna get a 9 or 10 pm reservation
I made a 9pm reservation last year at 180, but modified it the week we were down there and ended up with a 7:30. ADRs were opening up like crazy week of. I guess people were changing plans and dropping ADRs. I know we personally dropped a few due to that.I really really want to do Ohana for dinner one night and I am super worried I'm gonna get a 9 or 10 pm reservation
We were there from 12/23-12/30 and had free dining. We did not experience difficulty in making ADR’s for any of our choices. We are frequently a bit flexible on our eating times though.Did anyone who went last year in December for free dining have a hard time making table service reservations? What if you're on the site each morning it opens (180 days prior)? Thanks!
You might not get it for day 180, but if your trip is >4 or 5 days, you should not have too much problem for day 184/185 or beyond. And if you don't get it (or don't get the time you want), touring plans has an awesome (and I think free) reservation finder that will check several times a day and text/email you when it finds what you want.
How was Christmas at Disney? We are doing November this year, but I want to go for Christmas when the kids are older. We were there from 12/23-12/30 and had free dining. I wouldn't sweat it. Make what you can at 180 days and then put in a request with the TP reservation finder. I don't think I'm going to anything super popular except a BOG lunch, and that's not a must do.Did anyone who went last year in December for free dining have a hard time making table service reservations? Us too......but this is the first time in a long time we're staying deluxe. We've usually done moderates and the FD has usually worked out for the better. This time with Food and Wine we just come out cheaper by paying for discounted park tickets (AP for me) and paying for food as we go. I must admit it was nice to check out restaurants we normally wouldn't pay for, though!I know but this is the last year for multiple trips so to spend that money to "save" money doesn't make much sense. The RO offers are much better in the end for us, FD makes us upgrade plan or room type and we wouldn't spend as much OOP as FD covers.
Nope. That’s what I’m looking for too.Has anyone seen availability for BC for anytime in August for free dining?? Besides the 2 bedroom CL room. Tried Visa deal for early August dates too with no luck.
I am going in early August and just made an Ohana reservation for 5 people at 3:45pm. When I tried for 3 people there were a little better times. I am about 100 days out so you should be fine.I really really want to do Ohana for dinner one night and I am super worried I'm gonna get a 9 or 10 pm reservation
