I would not expect *free* dining to be anything too great, if it is offered at all this year. Last year was a big disappointment for a lot of people (reduced availability, longer minimum stay, must buy minimum 2-day park hopper or park hopper plus tickets, only QSDP at the Moderates).
Expect last year's discounts to be the new normal. When the economy is good, Disney doesn't need to offer deep discounts to attract visitors. Room discounts are smaller. The number of rooms available under a discount are fewer and usually preferred rooms. The room discounts are being announced later and are effective for shorter time spans.
Follow the Rates and Discounts subforum. They usually have a heads up when it comes to possible room discounts on the horizon.
