How many of you have been to Plymouth, MA and visited the Pilgrim Plantation; the Mayflower; Plymouth Rock; the Wax Museum; etc.?

I absolutely love it over there and could easily go back to visit every year.. There's just something about it that I never get tired of..

Yeah - you can take a boat ride in the harbor and if you're a good little boy, they'll let you toot the horn..

Isn't it awesome the way you can't even "trick" them into responding to a question as though they were living in the "present"? I always try - and always fail..

I wasn't real thrilled with the head of the fish (with the eyeball staring up at me) that one family was cooking in an iron kettle over an open fire..

We were just there Thursday!! It was great. The kids loved it. They were absolutely shocked that they didn't eat mashed potatoes ,cranberry sauce or pumpkin pie at the First Thanksgiving. My one son felt really bad for them This is an awesome time to visit. It was really cold Thurs but the Wampanoag homes (Wetu sp?) were pretty toasty. The kids liked talking to the English Colonist also. When the boys told him we were from NY the Colonist looked very puzzled and couldn't place it. (NY wasn't colonized until 1624)

I took my kids there years ago and loved it. I have also been to Williamsburg and Jamestown and loved the differences between the two settlements. Plimouth was fascinating and it really is impossible to get the characters to respond to questions beyond the time period.
