2017 Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic Info, Oct 27th & 28th

I always go to F&W and MNSSHP during the last week of October and thought this would be fun too, and the food looks great!

Has anybody gone to this before and would recommend it ?
It is a ticketed event, Does it sell out or can you just go, like F&W ?
Is it better to go on Friday or Saturday ?
Is walking from DHS or Epcot quicker or shorter ?

This will be the 8th year of the classic. I have been every year except one. I would HIGHLY recommend it. They sell Causeway tickets that allow all you can eat and drink from 5:30-9:30. This is the only option I have don. Those are about $110 pp with about a $20 add on if you want to go into the beer garden. They also sell individual ticket books which I believe are 25 tickets for $50.00. Each item costs between 2 and 6 tickets per tasting. Things like shulas are going to be 6 tickets. We go both nights so cant really tell you what night is better but in a month or 2 the menus will be out and you can see what is served each night. Most of the items are duplicates but there are several items that change up from Friday and Saturday so see which you prefer. Its pretty close distance wise from DHS and Epcot. Or you can just take the boat.

I've only been once in 2015; it was AMAZING. While it does seem expensive, I believe it's worth the price! If I still lived down there, I would make it a point to go every year. I did stay for both nights because the food is different each night. If you decide to go, I would also recommend the biergarten add on option. They have very tasty beer & amazing soft pretzels!

Lastly, I did go to the seminar Craft Cocktails. These seminars are before the evening festivities start. The seminar was awesome and well worth the money. It was very interactive and educational. We got to try every drink that was made using molecular gastronomy. I remember there being a swedish fish infused drink & a cookies and cream shot with alcoholic whipped cream plus much more!

Dont think it will sell out for the Causeway. The seminars may sell out but I have seen people purchasing tickets the day of for the past 3 years at least.
