2017 flower & garden

Has anyone been to the Spring Flower & Garden festival? Was there any interesting booths you really enjoyed & would suggest?

Last time we were there was in the pre-booths days and we can't wait to go back for our FIRST EVER no kids (who are now young adults) trip in May!!!

I really enjoyed the candied strawberries in China.

It was new last year but the booth outside of Germany had a currywurst that I also enjoyed. I mostly point this out because I like currywurst and I think they took it off of the Sommerfest menu.

There were lots of booths, not as many as Food and Wine. I can't remember any food specifically but it is a great time to go. We will be there again in March.

We went for the first time this year, and actually preferred it to F&W, believe it or not. Fewer choices for sure, but good. And the scenery with F&G going on makes it even better.

Incidentally, has anyone heard if they're extending it again like they did in 2016? It was a nice surprise to be able to enjoy it in early April. Hoping we get to do the same in 2017!

American BBQ booth was wonderful! Pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were amazing. I think hey we're snack credits, and they were pretty filling.... great value!

We enjoyed most everything we tried -- even more so than F&W items! A few that stick out are the spicy hot dog with pineapple salsa, the shrimp taco (Taco de Camaron), and the beef bun. We will be back again next year, and can't wait to try more of the food!

We love both F&G and F&W, but we like visiting in spring more than fall so we wind up at F&G more often. This past year I really liked the jerk spiced grouper on chayote slaw at La Isla Fresca. My family's favs included the beef udon at Hanami and the raspberry chocolate macaroon from France.
Looking forward to the 2017 menu!
