Not sure on the room category (usually they set aside so many rooms in all categories) but Por was only included in the month of September last year. It was also included in the bounce back offer for this September too

I was not able to get a standard last year at POR for sep 7-15 so had to go with garden. When I booked immediately upon release at 4am, there were standard rooms available at full rack rate for my dates. When trying to book the special offer of FD the lowest available was a garden view which we booked. So you might want to be prepared just in case.

I have been checking on and off all day and it has been working less than half of the times I checked. It seems to be working now though. I usually check every day and it hash't been this glitchy.

would you mind sharing? this will be our first trip with QS so we will be using it twice as much as when we had the regular DDP TIA
It makes it so nice not to have to stop what you are doing to make it to a ressie. I hope you love it too.
Our favorites are:
MK
Be Our guest- Lunch
Pecos Bill- the new chicken fajita's are delicious
Columbia Harbour House

Epcot
the QS in Mexico
the QS in China
The fish 'n chips in United Kingdom

HS
We loved the pressed turkey sandwich but it has been taken off the menu :(
The chicken and waffles look like a good thing to try and the Royal Guard burger (eventhough I try my hardest to stay away from too many burgers)

AK
Yak and Yeti QS
Flame tree BBQ

DTD
The #1 QS for us is Wofgang puck express marketside. We eat there 2-3 times every trip

We also like some of the QS at the resorts: Pepper Market @ Coronado Springs and the QS at Port Orleans Riverside are stand outs.
We have also heard good things about Mara and the Contempo Café

Hope this helps :)

Wanting to know this also. Have to work on the 21st but am off for my wife's birthday on the 25th. :)
We still don't really know. Maybe the 21st for all or maybe for people with a Disney Visa? Or maybe not until the 25th? You just have to keep on checking.

thanks, have not tried the ones at EPCOT, Pecos Bills sounds good. We will be (I hope) at POP and may walk over to eat at AOA too. Loved the braised pork at BOG for lunch, picky kids did not care for the food. I will through the menus and see what our group would like. Looking forward to not having to the the "ADR Nazi". feel like I was nagging everyone to get to our ADRS on time, won't miss that!

The 21st was only if they offered it to Disney vise first. If the do general release the 25th is the rumored date. I think more people are thinking the 25th but Disney has way of changing last minute. Thank you so much to the people that try to help us on this.

Not to dispute your word, but I was just trying to figure this out for our trip and I was on the Disney website and played around with it.
Per day, per person, The upgrade to standard from QS dining is $19.57 for adults and $3.81 for kids. To upgrade from standard dining to deluxe is $64.02 for adults and $12.64 for kids and To upgrade from QS to deluxe it is $70.95 for adults and $16.45 for kids.
Oh thanks for sharing and clarifying - maybe my figures were without tax - but if your info was from the Disney site - I'd say that's the ticket right there!

Copied and pasted this!! Awesome job!
Thank you for posting this b/c I was planning on doing: drop down, my reservations, view details, and then scrolling down the page and doing add dining plan and assuming it would be the free dining plan (bc I currently do not have a dining plan in place). But I do believe filtering down to Vacation Offer is the ticket. I have made note of this now. Thank you!

Hi! I can't help following this thread. FD is out for us since we are renting points (and dates aren't offered when we go now) but booking free dining has been such a big deal over the past years I feel your pain and excitement.

Just a fyi on the site glitches, I have found that closing out the browser and clearing your cache helps.

Good luck everyone!

So was POR offered last year up to Oct or was it just earlier in Sept? Just planning in my head. Wondering if I might catch that last day meaning the Oct 1st date. Do you find CBR historically easier to book FD?

I have been reading through the posts here and looks like CBR rarely has or highly limited standard rooms available for FD..so our next option is CSR...do they have a "decent" amount of standard rooms available for FD (from past experiences). I really want to stay standard at a moderate instead of doing preferred at value and upgrading the dining plan....

If I get FD and I'm in a value resort do I have to decide then and there that I want to do the upgrade? Or once I have FD can I take my time to decide on the upgrade? Also, if I chose the upgrade can I later on choose to downgrade?

So not to get anyone excited but I was looking with a friend for a room for her in September and every Resort had a little remark in italics underneath the price saying "not eligible for current discount" I'm hoping for you all that is a discount that Disney has loaded but not allotted rooms too or release yet :) good luck guys I'm anxiously awaiting to see what you all get

I have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone can answer!!!!

My fiancé and I are going to Disney for our honeymoon and just recently found out about free dining!

I'm afraid to wait until free dining opens to book anything because I've read how fast everything starts filling up! If we go ahead and book would we still be able to modify our reservation for the offer? Or would we need to start a whole new reservation over?

Question 2: if we're able to modify our reservation would I still have to wake up when its first released to modify? Or can I wait?

And last question! If we have to start a whole new reservation, would we lose our deposit?

Thanks in advance! Haha hopefully this made sense!!! ☺️

Yes you can modify. Already having a reservation doesn't guarantee you'll get FD so I'd start early. You would get your first deposit back but sometimes it can take a little bit to credit back.

Yes, they have all the control of your package. I'm a control freak and can not sit back and let someone else do everything for my Vacation. I like to make my own dining Ressies and anything else.

Could this be why I don't see a MODIFY button on my MDE? I booked through a TA.
