I am freaking out SOS

We currently have just under 300 points at BRV and have stayed at CCV multiple times and did like it (the Lodge is our favorite resort). For us though, the layout of the rooms (particularly the galley kitchens), as well as how crowded and loud the main lobby can get are the biggest negatives on CCV, more or less offsetting the longer contracts (especially given our ages). We like the separation offered by BRV, the larger rooms, the lobby and Carolwood Pacific room, Sturdy Branches, the more rustic feel, and the quiet pool with bar service from Geyser.

As for age, the BRV building is actually 6 years newer than the main lodge, and after a full rehab cycle, for us it makes no difference that they did the CCV conversion in 2017, because until just this last year, the interiors of the BRV rooms were actually newer. We did briefly contemplate adding on at CCV, solely for the longer contract, but that would mean selling our BRV, and that was a no-go.

For those that have been following my story, I requested a new, more experienced guide to close out our purchase so there wouldnt be any further issues. Well guess who they gave me. My old guide that we toured with that I ditched for this new guide when we told him we would buy direct from him as soon as our year hit 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Not awkward at all 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Was this a guide you liked or didn't like? I remember you telling me the name of one you didn't like (and I think that one ended up being the guide who sold to us since our actual guide was out of town.)

Somehow I missed the part where you switched guides during the purchase, I think? I know you met a guide at VDH and she offered to sell you a contract and you changed the contract a few times. Is that the guide that you switched away from? If so, what was the reason for the switch? Do you know which one gets the commission?

We really liked him and would have bought from him but he told us that we couldnt purchase until March 28th and when the guide we purchased with offered to get it started for us two months earlier we went with her

Yes I switched away from her because theres one last hurdle that is a big deal and that is switching from cash to financing. I want to make sure nothing goes wrong.

On top of that I felt awkward with her after a slightly heated conversation where I called her out on things she promised me and then her telling me thats what her leaders told her and just a lot of finger pointing and me having to call MS to figure things out myself and relaying to her how to do her job aka communicating to her what she needs to send to her regional manager after conversing with MS and I thought it was ridiculous that as the purchaser I was acting as the middle man between these two departments.

In the end, Disney made it right but it wasnt without a huge amount of stress and headache. My direct purchase was by far the most stressful dvc purchase ive ever made which is the only purchase I thought was actually going to fall through. Imagine that.

Basically I do not trust that the final transaction will be a smooth process with no issues if we continued with this guide. And I do not trust the answers to any questions I may have of what to expect from here. Im not sure who gets the commission. I feel like it should be split three ways between the two guides and myself.

It seems like DVC has more of the BS type salespeople nowadays who say anything to make a sale. It's unfortunate.

On my cruise a couple weeks ago, the DVC desk was a lot more pushy than my prior cruise. On my prior cruise, the guide at the desk heard me the first day when I said I wasn't interested in buying points and she remembered me every day and gave me my gifts, no problem. On the cruise this month, I didn't even go to the desk every day because I didn't want to argue with them about my need for points each visit. That might be on me because I said I might add someday, but not anytime soon vs. saying there's no way in hell I'm ever going to add. 🤷
