Logistically you could. As long as you think your family can be in close quarters without killing each other. Also, as long as your 12 year old isn't above average in height. The Murphy bed is only 66" long.
It'll also take a lot of organization to keep luggage for that many people out of the way.

She is almost 5 ft but not quite there yet. We are going to try to pack everything in 1 large suitcase and maybe 3 small suitcases so maybe that won't be a problem. I think the next option would be to rent to rooms at POP but then there's the cost of the extra room and upgrading the dining to consider so off to do some more figuring.

no the free dinning or the 30% room deal.....the diff in price between the two is about $150......so either way I save at least $1100

If they offer 30% again I think that is the way we will go. We need a room at AKL since our friends are already there through their DVC. I crunched numbers and since we already have 4 day tickets that we paid for and want to possibly do Universal or the water parks so not sure we would use the 2 day park hoppers. Also with MNSSHP it is even more possible we won't use them. The 30% off saves us something like 640 where free dinning only saves us 500 (tickets include in cost of FD but not RO of course). However we haven't sat down and figured out how much we spend on food in general in Orlando so I'll need to figure that out to see if 640 would cover food or not.

You don't have to call in just because you did not book a reservation in advance. You can go online the morning it is released and make a new reservation just as easy as you can modify an existing reservation. Many here, including myself, believe it is better to wait (and that is what I have done for all 5 times I've done FD) so that Disney does not feel they do not need to offer the discount. That opinion is of course debatable but the point is you can go online and book the reservation and do not have to call in. The only reason you would have to call in is for Disney Visa advanced released but in that case you would have to call whether you had booked in advance or not (i.e. if there is an advanced release you cannot modify an existing reservation online during the Disney Visa advanced release). Also, the 4:30am was just what it was last year, it has varied from year to year. Hope that helps.
I Agree-Waiting to book can save you extra work.

I'm so disappointed in these rumored dates. FD is a huge savings for my family, hope they add a few more weeks.

Anyone understand how my math is so different than others who said it cost them $100 to upgrade to AP?
Yes, it was me that said it cost us about $100 for 4 ppl. However, that was last year's prices, renewal and DVC discount. This year it depends on how many days we buy but we will likely do a 5 day hopper and renew to a gold pass. That's a $61/person difference. Since gold pass renewals are $496.29.

I always use the minimum rule of $100 per person per day for food and that don't include I few drinks during the day in the parks.......if you don't drink or don't get and appetizer or dessert with your meals....thanks youll save.... but lets not forget its vacation so we cant pinch the dollar that hard.......lol

OH we don't pinch at all on vacation haha. That's the thing, I don't usually get appetizers and don't always get dessert. My fiance already said it is too much for him and he'll just book which ever one I saw haha. If we had kids I think we would always do free dinning but just 2 adults who sometimes eat snacks all day and only 1 actual meal or could eat several "meals" in a day and just tend to go with the flow outside of the few TS we book it is really hard to figure out what we would do. Especially with the need to buy extra tickets.

So my husband and I have absolutely no plans on going back to WDW next year. But, we both agreed this morning that when we go in September if there's a FD BB were gonna put a deposit down on it just in case so I never have to do this whole free dining hunger games again!

This is what we did last September. We booked the bounce back and didn't decide until about 3 weeks ago that we were going to go. For awhile it was going to be a no but then realized we just love Disney too much so we decided to go.

For example, rteetz posted that he heard the rumored dates were just for the UK. Yet I was under the impression that the UK gets their free dining dates a year in advance and therefore they already had their free dining dates for 2016. Also, I was under the impression that the UK's free dining offer for 2017 would be announced just a few days prior to our 2016 free dining (with both likely being released within the next two weeks).

I'm pretty sure it was posted the UK 2017 release date is the 21st. But after reading Disney dining sites for weeks on end I may be confused haha!

This may be already answered somewhere, but I thought I had read of someone staying at a moderate, but getting the CS plan for free, and a credit for the difference of the regular DDP. We prefer the MOD resorts but this trip we are not wanting the DDP just the QS. We are currently booked in at ASSp with free QS, on a bounceback, so will still be good either way.

LOL I've been thinking that too. After this year we really don't plan on going again until the Star Wars land opens - but if there is a BB FD offer it might be worth the $200... because I say every time I want to wait awhile before the next trip. But, after about 6-8 months I want to go back again!
