I tried to modify my res to upgrade to POR several times this morning. It kept telling me once I clicked check out that it was unable to modify and I needed to call. I attempted this at least 10 times. Now my MDE account shows I got that reservation but I never got the confirmation email. Is this normal?

Yes but what are the dates I've gotten no hits on 9/28-10/4 I'm going anyway AoA family suite but would've loved to move to a mod with free dining or just keep what I had with free dining

Keep in mind: last year, it seemed like all of these rooms were gone and sold out. After a few days when the madness died down, quite a few rooms were made available and people got their first choices. Keep checking!

What I'm hoping for! My hubby is kind of sold on Port Orleans Riverside, and my dates are set, because it's when my kids are on fall break .

We were on exactly when it was released and there was nothing available other then the RO discount for the Poly.

Was it room only club level? I am torn.. I got free dining at Old Key West from 9/30-10/11, but also booked a split- free dining at OKW from 9/30-10/5 and club level Poly for 10/5-10/11. The price is almost $3000 more!!!! I need to talk to my husband, but I think there is no way we can do the split stay as much as I wanted to for our Anniversary! The cast member was really stressing that if I have two ressies with same check in date that they can cancel it on me at any time... I just need a few hours to think.. Has anyone heard of this? They can cancel all my reservations without notifying me??

CRT is a prepay booking. How does that work for the free dining? Do you still prepay at the time of booking?

You can add days to your ticket once you are in Disney and they should only charge you the cost of the additional days. The concierge desk will do it for you. The only disadvantage is that you won't be able to book fast passes for those days until you add the extra days. But it is worth a call to see if they will add days to your tickets without charging the new tickets prices for the entire ticket. If the number is really big, like more than $40 per ticket, then they are trying to charge the new ticket price.

I prepaid when I booked a while back because it was the easiest thing to do. I think you can call to make the reservation and explain that you're on the dining plan to waive the fee, but haven't personally ever done this.

Hubby wanted to try ASSp so I booked it we are there from Aug 26-Sept 4th, previously we stayed at Pop. I am curious about the Magic Bands? How do I chose ours? When I go under my account it says I need to link my reservation, but I can see the reservation under my profile. And when I go to re-link it I get the message to contact myself

Quite possibly I am missing something and I will blame that on being overtired

Did anyone get a standard, garden or preferred at POR?
Right now I booked CSR with a standard.

Dl99, we were very disappointed with the POR selections. Only RR's available and we don't like them so our second choice was CBR, but they only had Pirate Rooms, so we turned that down and at the moment we have standard at CSR. If things don't change for either of us I'll buy you a drink at CSR the last week in August.

If you haven't booked it yet, when you book it through your account, you choose to use dining credits since you have the dining plan as part of your package. They will not charge your card.

Yes, if you end up using your dining credits, you will get a refund. Just keep in mind CRT takes 2 TS credits. We usually just pay OOP and instead of using 2 credits.

You could always book the first half with free dining promo, make sure to select however many days of park tix that you need with that package, and eat at your most expensive restaurants while you have the free dining, and then rent dvc points at poly for the last leg of your trip. Eat at the least expensive desired restaurants during that part of your trip and just pay out of pocket for it.

Leaving completely aside the ethics of using an "ADR Sniper"-type tool to secure dining reservations, all the ones of which I knew have, at the strong suggestion of Disney, long since closed up shop.

Ethics?? Ok, anyways...... They just found mine last month, they are going strong. For those who just booked today and can't find any ADRs, try it!!

I grabbed a standard garden wing at CR for 11/27-12/2. There were tower rooms with bay lake and theme park views (not club level) also available for those dates when I booked this morning.
