It depends on what time Disney releases the offer.

We got free dining at a cabin in 2015. The campsites will be excluded but the cabins will probably be included.

I have a family of 5. We have stayed at the cabins several times with FD.

There is no set time for when this will be available online. It is whenever Disney makes it available.

Not sure if anyone has ever thought of this, when we begin our vacation, we can add days to our tickets, upgrade them to annual passes etc. Does anyone know if we take advantage of free dining book tickets with waterpark, and then when we get down there, can we change from waterpark passes to regular park passes as long as it costs more(ie upgrade)? I'd rather have more park days instead of waterpark.

I believe so. I could be wrong but I think that Disney now considers it a "new" reservation, even though it is called modify. I have our tix in place as well.

Yes, you will. This happened to us last year. I would make a mock reservation online for your dates and resort (and upgraded dining plan if you're planning on upgrading) and see how much more it will be just so you're prepared.

My anxiety level is super high right now over FD.

Our dates are somewhere between 12/13 and 12/22. There isn't a RO discount (yet) and I'm stressing about not getting FD and then there not being a RO discount. If I book on Monday so that all of the rooms don't fill up and we don't end up getting FD, can a RO discount be added later after the reservation is booked?

Also, I know we aren't supposed to ask about other deals outside of Disney but could someone pm me info about this other good deal people are getting? It's just as an option...

So strangely enough, I just logged onto my Disney experience and they took away my ability to make modifications online. It gave me the option yesterday, and today it says that I must call to modify reservations. I wonder if this is their way to control how much free dining is released...

It's the same process. Same numbers and same online system so it wouldn't be any faster or slower.

Just checked on both my phone app as well as on my phones browser and my change buttons are still there. I think it's just being glitchy, since everyone seems to have a "now you see it, now you don't" relationship with the modify button!

As a family of 5 I am disappointed in the options. But I am happy to see Disney changing that recently with recent changes to POR and CBR. I think I would prefer the suites over the cabins but for free dining purposes I would so with cabins because of the difference in QSDP and DDP.

Now that we are discussing it I just realized I may need to deprive them to see if Free Dining there would be cheaper than RO discount at CBR if free dining does work out there.
