Lol! I'm sure I could...not sure if I could keep up with 2 though!
They shut down at 250, so everything will be moving over here.
Don't know about the rest of you but this is the ONLY thread I am following!
I've heard in the past that threads got closed down at 250 pages, but that Rivers of Life thread in the Theme Parks Community board is past 600 pages now.

Are room only discounts as limited as FD is? We wanted FD but the dates aren't going to work so now we're looking at a room and dine package for October.

I had finally caught up and read every single page on the last thread :faint:
I didn't see my question so I wanted to ask it here.
We are going regardless, taking my sweet mama on her first Disney trip and she is 82! There are 5 of us and we have been booked at CBR for several months. Our dates are 9/27-10/3 so I know we fall into the FD window BUT after reading through this thread, I decided I would go on line now to look at the availability of rooms. For my dates there is no rooms at all available at CBR or POR. I am wondering since it is showing no availability, does that automatically mean no rooms availabile for FD either??

I think this happens every year but some rooms always seem open up. I imagine POR will have pretty limited rooms for FD though.

Need advice please!! We have 3 rooms booked at POR (during the FD dates it most likely will be excluded). Should we switch to a different hotel now and modify on Monday morning or make 3 new reservations online Monday? Also we will there during pop warner, so what other resort would be better to avoid them? CBR or CSR?

I am looking for a little advice... I already have a room booked for my family in one of the family suites at AofA. We are 6 Disney adults, my husband, myself, and 4 kids-dd-17, ds-15, and twin dds-12. I have been juggling numbers, and it looks like it would be cheaper (by about $1000) for us to get 2 rooms at Pop Century for the same time. Probably more comfortable, too, since they are all bigger than the last time we stayed in a family suite at AOA. My question is this: What would be the best way to change this reservation? It does not appear that you can change the reservation to 2 rooms online. Do I have to call? Should I ...
A. Change the reservation I already have to one room for 3 of us, and book a second reservation for another room? If I go this route, I assume I will still have to call to have them adjoining or adjacent to one another. Will they do that?
B. Just call.
C. Some other way that I don't know/am not seeing. Please explain!

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

You have almost the same dynamic as me. (See my signature). We always gotten two rooms at a value. The reason is we love two bathrooms, we love four beds. We priced it out and it is cheaper than the suites. Also my kids don't like sleeping on fold down/fold out furniture. It works well for us. Good luck!

I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. --- I have a package booked at POP in Sept, so it definitely falls within the FD dates. From what I've read here, calling in at 7 am is not my best option. Therefore, is it better on Monday morning to 1). try and modify my existing reservation or 2). try to make an entirely new reservation and cancel the existing one? And the modify button may or may not appear, correct?
TIA!!!

Totally off topic but I got my first UOC yesterday!!!!!! Still can't believe it  not for my dates but I made the list :flower:
What deal did you get? If you don't mind me asking I've never got one so I really don't know what I'm looking for

I never see the cabins mentioned on this thread as an option for Moderates. Has anyone stayed there before?

Food and Wine will still be going on in Epcot the first week of November. I don't think they put any Christmas decorations up until later. If you wait until after Thanksgiving you will get the storytellers and the Candlelight Processional.
Christmas Decor always is up by Veteran's Day for most areas. Some resorts are slower than others.

Epcot seems to take the longest with xmas decor....We go every year during November, and we always have xmas pictures at WDW.

Either way...if you have 200 for each one I make new ones cancel later....

Does anyone think the 8/23 start date seems unusual? Its a Tuesday!

I am having the POR CBR debate as well......we are going sept 10 thru 17, so POR should be included in FD. We have said POR is our first choice and CBR our second, but i am having to book two rooms so im wondering if that would be easier and CBR since they seem to have a little more availible at this time? Anyone have any insight on this?

Question: To "modify" an existing reservation online, once FD drops.... do I click the "CHANGE" button on my reservation page (and that takes me to a choice of special offers) or do I click the FD promo announcement on the Special Offers page (and that takes me to an option to "add to existing reservation")?
TIA for instruction as I don't want to waste time going down the wrong path at (potentially) 3am

Looks like I may be out of luck at POLY this year for November.....

No availability as of now on every regular room category, for most weeks before TG...

Only club level....this is why I always book my room before any FD......right now I have the room I wanted at least. But I cannot see how they would add FD to those rooms if they are already all booked up....

Sigh, oh well.

We are out of luck too unless we change resorts. We always stay at CBR and are ready for a change so we booked a standard at POR last year before all the price increases. We are still saving over $300 for our family of 5 over this years prices, so at least we are saving something. :)

Yes, you click the change option and choose the vacation offer.
