I'm still in disbelief that within 20 minutes of the offer dropping there was nothing for POR for our dates 9/25-9/29. HOW. No FD at all, only RO is a royal room, which is not what we want for our honeymoon. We've stayed in it before, and I loved it but the fiance thought it was too overdone.

BAGH. Seriously, someone convince me something will open up.

Thanks to everyone for all the info. Has proven very helpful. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get what we wanted with FD, which was a standard room at CBR. The two options I have to choose from right now are a pirate room at CBR or a royal guest room at POR. We are leaning toward the POR, even though CBR seems to have better theming for kids. We have a 4 and 6 year old. Thoughts?

Do you have a DV? This is what we wanted as well and were able to get it with the visa availability!

Now that a lot of the craziness has died down, do we think any of the standard rooms at the mods sold out? My dh still thinks I'm nuts for modifying at 3 am. I would love to be able to justify it!i

hate to sound so old but did FD before and never ever like this...You could get any resort, book dining ressie anywhere. But that was 10 years ago.. my god where do the people who come for the day eat?? do they have to bring their own lunch? lol

If you have touring plans subscription, use their dining finder. (If not it's worth the minimal fee, around $10 for a year) It works awesome. You tell hm what you want, and they text you when it's available. It's works, found me BOG right at the time I needed. Don't give up

There are no standard rooms at the mods showing available for my dates with FD. Even at 4 am this morning only CSR had standard available for my dates they remained open for several hours but are now gone too.

If I canceled my original reservation and booked a new resort this morning will I need to call and adjust my DME info or will that automatically be updated?

You need to adjust it.

Just hung up about 10 minutes ago. Had to call about 10 times until I could get through but once I got through I had no wait and was able to book 2 rooms at Sports for Thanksgiving week with FD.

Guys, there appear to be massive system issues where one agent can see rooms that another cant. Don't give up yet, just keep trying. Hopefully the system will start to function better and you may find what you're looking for.

Wait. We have been sniping ADR's for years. It's fun if you let getting your elusive dates be that way. We've done last minute trips and sniped all our ADR's from NONE available. Give it time. Make it a game and the stress will melt away. ADR's open all the time.

It looks like the standard rooms at CSR have sold out because I'm trying to get one (unsuccessfully) for my in-laws.

Anyone else having a child's ticket (3-9 years) show as a "10 and older ticket" in MDE? I know MDE always has wonky stuff, but curious if this is happening for anyone else. My reservation confirmation email shows the correct information.

Yes! I even booked a new reservation and cancelled the old one thinking I messed up from lack of sleep but it still showed up that way! So I don't know what's going on and hoping it works itself out in a few days.

Well, on hold exactly 2.5 hours when the CM picked up, but the the CM was awesome. She checked both the free dining and RO rates, and I saved a little bit more with RO so that is what we went with. Did have to upgrade my room at WL from Woods view to Courtyard view to get either of the offers, but still saved money.

Yes, when we were there last year they had openings when we had our reservations.

Haven't posted but have been following this thread. I was up at 4:00AM; first choice was POR, then CBR then Pop (9/14-9/19 but VERY flexible). There was nothing for my first two choices other than the Royal rooms (not for us). I was able to get Pop. What was frustrating was hearing about the DV link. I have an account; my husband has an account; and we have a joint account and yet we didn't get the email. I called visa and they said to check with Disney; Disney said it is an automated system. Everyone should have gotten the email. While I had the agent on the phone, she checked the DV offer to see if my #1 and #2 choices were available...nothing. She did say that the available rooms should not be different between the GP and DV offers. The ony difference was more dates in the offer for DV. She advised me to keep trying back as it will be very volatile over the next 7-10 days.

I was able to book when it dropped at exactly 4:00 AM. I got two standard rooms at CBR. I just checked my email confirmation and it was time stamped at 4:02. Thanks for all your help everyone!

Got my father in law booked with free dining AND because they require park hoppers he now has those over a base ticket. Still saved him $103!
I'm super bummed that we couldn't do it for our reservation. Lesson learned that in the future free dining is a better deal for us than a military discount by around $800.
