It's been quite some time since I've been on DIS - last 2 trips in 2010 and 2014 we stayed at Wyndham BC with my family of 5 because it was most cost effective.

Hallelujah - next fall my last child will be going off to college and I can FINALLY plan my dream WDW trip with my husband and visit during F&W Festival! School has always prohibited off-season trips.

I'm interested in renting points for BWV studio for next October for 4 nights, then move over to Vero Beach DVC for 4 nights - when is the optimum time to reach out on Rent/Trade board to connect with an owner and solidify reservation?

I'll also will want to request DDP to add. It's been many, many WDW trips that we've had to economize in order for our entire family to enjoy...I'm ready to splurge on me and hubby!!!

Owners of a resort can book starting 11 months from date of arrival. Any DVC owner can book any other DVC resort starting 7 months out. The time you want is a high DVC demand time and if you want any resort near MK or Epcot, such as BWV, you should start looking now or within the next couple weeks for someone to rent from who can make the reservation at 11 months out because the rooms can fill quickly once that window opens, particularly if you want standard or boardwalk view rooms which sometimes can fill for any given day within an hour of when that 11 month window opens. Pool/garden viiew will last longer but safety still dictates that you start searching early for a rental. For Vero, you will have more time as it is usually open that time of year even at 7 months out. With a DVC rental, the owner needs to order the dining plan for you so you need to make arrangements for the owner to do that.
