Greece - Loaded Greek Nachos. I liked these, the meatless sausage crumbles tasted a little like beef to me and the pita was a bit tough, which seems to be a pattern in the bread, but otherwise I enjoyed these.


Australia - Grilled Sweet & Spicy Bush Berry Shrimp with Pineapple, Pepper, Onion and Snap Peas. There was a little heat to this dish, about 4 shrimp, I enjoyed it but it wasn't the best thing I've eaten.


Mexico - Barbacoa Enchilada. This seemed more taco than enchilada to me, it could be eaten by hand but I used a fork and knife because the sauce was a little messy. The beef had a good flavor but again I had issues with the tortilla. It wasn't as tough as the other bread like items I'd had so far.


Scotland - The Tipsy Laird. I had this last year and enjoyed it so decided to go for it again this year. It wasn't bad but you don't get to the tipsy part until the very bottom, before that it's sort of whipped cream and cake. It was dark by this time and my camera refused to not use it's flash.


Canada - Apple Ice Wine. Most people are going to rush to the cheese soup or the Beef Filet in Canada but I had the soup last year and wasn't impressed and I'm not a huge fan of filet in a setting like this. Since I swore to try to get something from every booth I went for ice wine. I didn't like this and despite the small size of it, ended up trashing half of it. I had my hand behind it in the picture for a size reference.


It rained for about a hour and half or two hours and all the booths shut down. They opened back up around 6:45. It was crowded but I don't know if it was the rain or what but not horribly crowded. I didn't stand in line longer than 5 min. at any booth tonight. I left around 8:00 so it could have gotten worse after that. But it certainly wasn't unmanageable while I was there. I didn't go over to the France/Itlaly/Germany side of WS, the Australia booth was as far as I went that direction.

It was excellent but messy on the hands. As you can see they didn't really sprinkle the spice evenly. I also tried the Spicy Hummus from Morocco but I didn't take a picture cause it was the first thing I ate and I was hungry and it was so good. If I weren't on my mission to try something from every booth, I'd get that again. Then for dessert I went with Belgian Waffle with Warm Chocolate Ganache and Whipped Cream from Belgium

This was the longest food line I waited in all day, it was probably around 7 pm and I waited about 10 min. I was worth it.
Speaking of lines, I went to pick up my tickets to the wine tasting and food demo for today and that line took 15 min. only one person working and she felt the need to chat with about every other person. If anyone didn't know, even though you make and pay for your reservations in advance for the little $15 wine and food seminars, you still have to pick up a ticket. You get them from the information booth at the Festival Center and you can only get that days. There were a number of people in front of me in a wine tasting I attended who didn't know this and refused to go get one since they had a confirmation they paid. They were allowed in but make it easier on yourself and just pick up your tickets. You can do it at any time the day of.

Peanut Butter and White chocolate Mousse with caramel drizzle from The Chew Collective. It was good but the crumbles on top made it next to impossible to get down to the mousse.

Greenhouse Guru Chilled Tomato Gazpacho. It was refreshing on a hot day, not bad.

Had the artisian cheese trio from Wine and Dine Studio but forgot to take a picture. Tiny little two bites of cheese with various toppings. I love cheese so can't go wrong there but I'm talking tiny.

Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle with Warm Whiskey Caramel. This was huge and I could only eat half, definitely something to share. Very sweet and not really much but a chocolate mousse with some sauce. Sorry I had already started eating when I remembered to take the picture.

Quesito: Puff Pastry with Sweetened Creak Cheese and Guava sauce from Islands of the Caribbean. Again forgot to take the picture before I started eating. The pastry was tough as all get out, I tried cutting it and gave up and picked it up and ate it. Seemed like more of a croissant than a pastry to me.

Hawaii - Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet and Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise. Messy as can be but not bad. I could have done without all the sauces, I'm a Georgia girl, just give me pork.

I'm not a fan of sweet wine so that is most likely why I didn't like it. I actually think I may have had it before at F&G but couldn't remember if I liked it or not.

I haven't had anything that I didn't like at all except the wine. Everything else has been good especially considering how they are having to prepare it. The breads have all been a bit off but I haven't thrown away anything but the wine and half the nitro chocolate thing and that was only because it was just too much for me to eat. I really like the hummus fries at Morocco and the Bacon Mac and Cheese as well. As you said, it's all subjective and I try to point out the good and bad of each dish.

Are there any other Canadians following along that are a bit disappointed with the Canadian booth? Out of all the wineries they chose Fielding Estates? Burrowing Owl, Mission Hill, Henry of Pelham. Heck go with the brand name and use Wayne Gretzky Estates. And to use an Apple Ice Wine from Quebec instead of Inniskillin from either Niagara or the Okanagan (which they already carry on property). And the food. Cheese soup is an Irish thing. If you asked most Canadians to name meat associated with Canada; Moose, deer, BC salmon, PEI mussels. And lets not get started on moosehead. Dear lord, that is an awful choice.

Went last night and a few things

Did the Vodka seminar - took 20 minutes - he said he wanted to get us back out at the event (so we could spend more)
This was basically a poorly produced infomercial for Svedka.
Yeah it's the best Vodak ever - #2 seller in the US blah blah blah...We do events for Kim Kardasian and other famous people blah blah blah.
The presenter basically tried to show some videos about the vodka- but they all froze up and were useless.
You got 3 vodkas so for 15 at Disney prices it was worthwhile - but don't expect it to actually learn anything at all.
I would have expected at least one mixed drink - it was one 80 Proof Vodka, and two flavored vodkas - Lime Cucumber (VERY good) and Jalapeno Grapefruit (not enough heat to this at all)
Surprised how many people didn't drink their three Vodkas - why would you go to this infomercial and then not drink the vodkas

All the booths except France were closed for about an hour (because of the thunder/lightning?) - when they did come back up lines were a bit long and I think they were serving the stuff that had been there for the last hour - very disappointing - the Jalapeno Margarita at Mexico was mostly water because the ice had melted - so it this happens again - wait at least 30 minutes before buying anything. BTW - France was able to stay open for some reason

The Margarita at Italy is mostly lemon mix - no trace of alcohol at all IMO - but tasty enough in the VERY hot weather if your using a tasting sampler coupon

For those interested in the sampler - it is very popular so expect to wait in line at the festival center to but it - they have it at the counter.
Funny thing is people are waiting in line for it and don't seem to know why - talking to a few people well waiting in the line they did not realize it was cheaper to buy the food items (unless you want the pin).
There was a guy waiting in line with me to return his two samplers because he said they were worthless.
They really just need to make it food items and price it accordingly - yeah I have no issue using it for mixed drinks - but most of the people were not it seemed

If you buy the 200 gift card you get a lanyard with a metal coin as the "limited" gift. It is dated for 2106 for those that are interested.

Finally - there seemed to be many people complaining about the size of the beers this year - especially without the flight options - today should be interesting. Luckily there are a few full time location that have decent options and full size beers - they seem to be doing quite well.

Nope. Not a bit disappointed. I think that ice wine from Quebec is terrific (having had MANY), I love the soup, and DH and DS are always thrilled with the fillet. Gretzky?? Really?? Why??

Again -- can't make everyone happy, and can't represent EVERYTHING from any country in one little booth. The Canadian booth is always one of the busiest with this fare. I think they're doing just fine, IMO.

We have a Disney Chase Visa, but I have read any Chase Visa card will allow entrance. Unfortunately, last year line was crowded and long, so we didn't wait, but I would bet that they will be checking cards and perhaps ID, which is always necessary to carry. The lounge undoubedtly gets crowded as it is a popular respite.

As long as you have a Chase credit or debit card, you are allowed into the lounge. Only Chase Disney Visa cardholders can obtain priority seating for the Eat to the Beat concerts.

What all seafood does the Ireland seafood fisherman's pie have in it? I'm nervous about eating anything with scallops (I'm not allergic but my mom is; the allergy hit her late in life and I wouldn't want to encounter that situation when I'm at WDW).

I had it one time and it only had a tiny piece of a lobster claw in it. Big disappointment. I would avoid it. Allergies are no joke. There are so many other delicious things to try.
