2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

Has anyone heard anything regarding the regular tickets to the Chew tapings? Last year the requests opened ~July 4th.
I keep checking their website every day. Just says coming soon. Would love to be able to get tickets this yr, we tried last yr, but no luck.

A word of caution:
Sunday I called WDW FEST to book PFTS and 2 other events that I thought may be full but I wanted to try anyway. The first person I got told me all 3 events were full. I was rather surprised that PFTS was full, even the general admission, so I looked online and lo and behold, it was available. I called again. I told told the agent that I had just called and that I was told all 3 events were full but I found one online. She said that there's 2 ways to search. The first way, all 3 looked booked to her, but when she tried the second way, they were all available! I was thrilled. I just wanted to give y'all the heads up in case there's something you really want it may be worth trying twice.

For fun, I looked tonight to see what special events were still available. Color me shocked that What's Cooking With sessions with Robert Irvine, Andrew Zimmern, Jamie Deen, Cat Cora, Buddy Valastro and Graham Elliot are all still available. In years past these celeb chef tickets were gone in minutes.

It has been two years since I was at food & wine so my memory may be faulty. Weren't the celebrity chef sessions just "regular" culinary demo sessions? Pretty sure we saw Robert Irvine during one of the scheduled demos a few years back.

Looks like now they are much higher priced sessions offered in the morning and not part of the culinary demo schedule.

Another interesting tidbit. I just saw for the first time that DVC has "special seating" available at the 10/8 and 10/28 PFTS. Makes me curious!

Robert Irvine use to do one of the 50 minute culinary demonstrations. His demo always sold out quickly.

I do think the price point makes a big difference. The What's Cookin' events are $129 per person, compared to $15 for the demos. I think that price difference would be enough to turn away a number of folks/guests who are "casual" fans of that chef.

I didn't read through the entire thread. But when will vip tours and other vip things be announced?

The VIP F&W Day at Epcot is available to book now. I asked about it when booking opened up back on 7/21 and was surprised when I was told I could book it that day. If you call tour services they can advise what is included this year and you have the option to book (unless it sold out already...they told me there are only 40 spots on Friday's and Sunday's for the VIP event). I had them run down the whole list of activities because I couldn't find anything online. My husband and I were thinking about splurging on this but for the Friday we are going to be there Duff Goldman backed out of the "What's Cooking With" so she said there would be a replacement event she also kept saying everything is subject to change so it was a little bit too much for us to roll the dice on.

For me the price was too high considered the chef is only there for a short period at the end and seems to have little impact on most of the food

I agree- especially since some of these folks have been at F&W year after year

Thanks for the info. Wonder why I can't find any info online about 2016. Wanted to read about the different options before I call/decide.

Really hoping there is a soft opening on 9/13 since I already have Epcot scheduled that day.

Has anyone ever made a reservation for a beverage seminar and attempted to change for a different one? I know they are not able to be canceled and money back but wondering about changing to a different day and time.

I apologize, I only skimmed through this long thread. I'm having trouble finding two things. Is there a list of the celebrity chefs and what they are doing, ie, demonstrations and meet and greets. Also, having trouble finding a list of special events such as the parisian breakfast and paris has a new lunch this year.

Thank you!
