2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

That is a lot more info than the food and wine page provides, basically the same info from TiW. Where did you read we get a souvenir mug?

From that link:

"Hear all about the restaurant’s mystical history, sample tasty dishes that reflect the kitschy, colorful environment and receive a souvenir mug to commemorate the experience!"

Exciting!

When I booked Party for the Senses they said I was eligible for priority seating to Eat to the Beat, anyone know how I would go about that?

The way it's worked in the past was you went to the World Showcase where the party is, checked in and they gave you something for the concert.

I've never done it. I have to admit Epcot can be a nightmare Saturday evenings. I just wait as late as possible to go to the PFTS and go directly there. Plus I tend to dress up a little and don't want to sit in the theatre getting hot and sweaty

Thanks! Clearly the lack of sleep is starting to affect my reading abilities.

My CM said priority seating for Illuminations.
I think Eat to the Beat is during the party, so one would miss it. Illuminations is after the party.

When I was there a few years ago, you had to check in at the World Showcase Pavilion before the Concert to get your wristband. The CM I spoke with this morning said the reserved seating was for the 5:30 pm Eat to the Beat concert.

When I made my reservation this morning, the CM only mentioned reserved seating for Eat to the Beat. Two years, the PftS also included Eat to the Beat, but no Illuminations.

After calling 2 times and getting Nine Dragons isn't apart of Eat to the Beat dinning. Then checking online 4 times I finally got it for my date!!

Got the Mexican Tequila Lunch for 9/22, the Parisian Breakfast for 9/25 and Parisian Afternoon for 11/12. Also reserved Eat to the Beat at Biergarten for 9/25. I'm happy.

Convenient, yes. But also highly dangerous for your wallet, it's just too easy to spend! :rotfl2:

This is why I normally use a gift card and budget myself in advance! Or else I'm normally in big trouble!

Going to be a lot of runners at that event!

I think so! I will apologize in advance for the way we may smell after a 10K! (I'm a pretty middle of the pack runner and realized after we booked that there might not be time for Disney transport back to the resort, two people to shower and clean up and back to Epcot....oh well!)

We're doing the cheese seminar that day post 10K!

And we have V&A's that night .... not looking at a real good half, but we'll be well fed!!!

Brian

The struggle is real! I was wondering if an event with mimosas was my best bet for the day before a half, but at least I'll have time to hydrate afterwards!:drinking1 We have an early dinner at Via Napoli. Like 4:30 early. It might still be considered lunch! LOL! :rotfl2:

I'm surprised no one else has been talking about this. I'm honestly shocked and disappointed that the PP is no longer being offered.
I emailed guest relations to express my disappointment. I know it won't make a difference and it's all a numbers game for Disney. But I sent the email anyway.

The information of the site is basically three sentences and it even says check back for details soon. No dates, price, nothing. I got the info from TiW. I haven't heard about the souvenir glass but I bet you can sell it on eBay :rotfl2: for like $50 . All jokes aside I hope is the black pearl.
Yeah - I kind of figured their would be some sort of mug related to the event...hopefully exclusive and dated to the event...if so may go for a bit more than $50..but I look forward to adding it to my collection regardless.

On a different topic, I notice that if you buy a $200 gift card at F&W you get:
  • Limited-release gift with purchase
  • Festival logo lanyard with carrying sleeve
A free gift is always good, especially if you were going to spend that much anyway and this is also a good way to limit/track what you spend.

I too had me heart set on the premium package. But then I booked a few events (2 lunches, the Parisian breakfast, and some beverage seminars). I also booked the Jiko Wednesday Wine tasting and have two non Epcot days planned during those four days that I had planned for the premium package. Epcot Sunday and Monday (Italian lunch). Resort on Tuesday with a late CG dinner to watch hallow wishes on Tuesday. Resort Wednesday morning, jiko wine followed by AK and Tiffin's on Wednesday. Back to EPCOT on Thursday (tequila lunch) and booths.

Hopefully one good thing will be free shade in Epcot!

I'm also bummed...But, nothing was a given, though I was hopeful from what I was told. My little deal with myself was if Premium package wasn't announced by July 19th, I'd book PFTS (which we didn't really have that much ambition to go to because it looks like a zoo).

:tinker: So, we got PFTS booked and we're happy about trying that for the first time. We're trying Club Villain :maleficen on Halloween night...Which I think will be cool. In the event that PP is somehow released, we'll book that too

I was surprised to see a cheese event I was thinking about still available about 30 minutes ago for online booking. I nearly booked it until I realized that with tax it was $95. I love cheese, but.... $95? Just a little more then I felt this was worth (I did one several years ago)
I went to the Cheese thing when it was $75 and it wasn't worth it at all

I'll be curious to see what the gift with purchase is. I was thinking I'd get one of the mini gift cards because something on my wrist seems more comfortable than a lanyard, but then again, I'll already have enough on my wrists probably between MagicBands, watch and Alex & Ani bracelets!

I'm disappointed that the PP will probably not be offered but I'll probably just end up at some of the demos (the $15 ones).
Should I book those early or is there usually walk up reservations left for those?

Are these limited availability? Where can they be purchased?
