Disneyland generally does not publish refurbishment information very far in advance. I haven't really found any single official location where the information is posted, much more than 45-days in advance (if that). The most common places to check are the Disneyland.com calendar, to call the refurbishment hotline (wdwinfo lists the information from the hotline here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland/plan.htm#rehab), and DisneylandNews.com.

There are other non-official sources that will also post information about refurbishments, but everything is subject to change. Just Google "Disneyland Refurbishments" or something similar and you'll find links to several of the non-official sites.

Here is a list of refurbs from the ''mouse for less''

http://www.themouseforless.com/tripplanning/dlparks/rehab-closedl.shtml

If you want something more official, than you can go to the disneyland official website, but it is a little hard to navigate their schedules and easier to use a site that simply lists the refurbs.

Remember, the info, even from disney, is subject to change at anytime and sometimes the refurb period is shortened, lengthened, etc.

I know those aren't official, but hoping that Winnie the Pooh will be open still at the end of February. My son loved that ride when we went in May and would love to see Pooh and his friends again.

thanks for the info…fingers crossed that some of it is incorrect as it would suck for so many of my son's faces to be closed at the same time but it is Disney so I know we will have a blast

I'm going to DLR in Jan and the link in unfortunately very accurate. I get to miss the Matterhorn another year.

Thanks for the list.

I know the risk one takes when attending "off season". I didn't realize it was a milestone year as well this year.

This will probably be my first and only trip to DL at the end of January and the rides we were looking forward to are going to be closed, especially the Matterhorn and Small World (DD6 totally loves the WDW version).

Crossing fingers Peter Pan will be open as 4 times over 30 years I have gone to WDW its always not running. Ha - I guess I'm cursed.

Well I hope you figure out to get his faces open again! That sounds like it might hurt! :lmao: ;)

:wizard:

Does anyone know what the refurb for the Matterhorn is going to be. Are they going to replace the ride cars with something better. Like the old ones.

How well does DL stick to schedules? Pretty good or typically delays? We are tentatively looking at going the week following Memorial Day. It seems like we'll be good and everything is due to be back open. For us, this is the type of trip that we would delay rather than go when something is closed.

Winnie the Pooh probably won't re-open until early April.

Peter Pan will probably be closed until early May.

Also...a heads up...

The castle will most likely be covered with a tarp from late January until early March. And the lagoon at California adventure will be drained while WOC is down.

The longer or bigger the refurbishment is, I always think there is a greater potential for things to be delayed. That being said, the kick-off to the summer season has been Memorial Day weekend for the last few years, so I think they will do everything they can to have the attractions up and ready for that.

We've seen where they actually open stuff earlier than expected. Happened with Splash last year. Was a nice surprise!
