2015 Rate Watch

I'm pretty new to Disney (went this year, going again in February 2015) so can you help me understand the reservation process... When you say that Disney is releasing the packages and reservations for 2015, does that mean the discounts (i.e play, stay & dine, or free dining) will be released on July 30 as well? I've had a room-only reservation at BLT for a few months so I'm trying to understand just how excited I should be for 7/30 at this point... Thanks!

Not too excited! It us full price package rates coming out the 30th. Depending on your dates, you could have a much longer wait for specials/discounts. But no matter what it is one step closer.

It's such a tease isn't it. I already knew it was July 30th, but I thought maybe with the calendar being extended they might give us a sneak peek, but I guess not.

The wait continues, but it's nice having a date.

DW saw that and tried to call because it seemed that she could book for our May trip but it wouldn't accept the number of guests (6). Unfortunately what she got when she called was probably the same person that everyone else has talked to today about the 2015 prices. IOW she was kind of rude and short with DW. And she said the same thing - rates come out the 30th.

I am planning on going late January/Early Feb so just for fun I started a vacation 12/31 to 1/14 and then looked at the single day rates for the January dates. I don't know if that means I'm getting 2014 or 2015 rates, but what I looked at all seemed to be pretty close to last year.

Was just on WDW site - there is a new FAQ - says online package and hotel reservations will be available 30 July - its on Hotel Reservations FAQS. YAY! I am travelling to WDW from New Zealand April 2015 and have been checking at least once a day. See below for faq.

2015 Walt Disney World Resort package and room-only reservations will be available online beginning July 30, 2014. At the present time, you can make online reservations for 2014 arrivals.

we booked our march 28-april 4th (room only) trip a few weeks back and anxiously awaiting to finish off the package...excited to find this thread and see that the 30th should be the date!

still will be anxiously waiting for EMH to be released!!

I have a question for one of the TAs or perhaps a more experienced Disney Fan.

I have a Room Only reservation for May 2015 and I am waiting for the packages to come out (July 30th) to convert to a package.

Do any of you know if my confirmation number will change?

I am trying to determine if I should link this Room Only reservation to my MDE account or wait until the full package is booked. Will I have to re-link and redo everything?

Your room only reservation will be cancelled and your deposit refunded to you. Then, you'll have to book a package and pay another deposit which has been $200 in the past. Your room only reservation number is a long number. Your package reservation number will be 6 or 7 numbers/letters long.
