Oh, I understand!!!All my trip report friends are constantly behind on all the threads they follow and then one is busy writing one owns TRs! If you ever feel like reading one of mine, they all are linked in my signature and come with handy links (the newest one does not have links yet as there are some issues with the new software). I like going to the TR sections and find one to read when I am sick at home and daytime TV is just too lousy and I don't have the energy to focus on a good book! Makes very nice easy reading. Especially since I got an iPad and can read in bed...
I usually pop over there when I have time to kill at work.
Have fun with the Avengers, I going to see it with my girlfriends on Monday (including a visit to a pizza place beforehand.I am already saving my weekly extra for that!).
I actually DID enjoy it! The theater has been recently renovated and added oversized recliners!! SO COMFY! And I indulged in my homemade brownbag popcorn and a WW 2 pt bar plus a liter of seltzer (also from home). I will admit to grabbing a handful of DS's popcorn when mine was gone (all too soon), but that was it! Other than that I stuck with my plan! And as a reward I treated myself with a light beer when I got home.... and STILL stayed within my PPV for the day!!
BTW, the movie was good too....

Pjilla...my son took SATs today too. I did the closet changeover from winter to summer. FINALLY!
THat's a good job done for the season! We are really just experiencing our first REALLY WARM days this weekend, so it hasn't been in my mind to do the closet change-over quite yet. For MANY, MANY years I had a house rule that you could ONLY have the amount of clothing that fit in your closet (other than heavy coats) year round! And it worked well for a long time (the kids closets are really large).... but when I lost weight and wanted to buy more and more clothes, I changed the "rule" for myself

Back again for May. =) Going to try to join the losers this month, I put on a couple of spare pounds over April (hopefully water weight) that I'd like off again.
WOOOHOO... you're back!!
I so agree about the TR board being a huge time suck. I love lurking there when I'm on call at night, I can read through them for hours.
Enjoy Avengers! Let us know how it is!
It was good! For ONCE I actually understood what was going on in an action-adventure type movie! Waaaaayyyy too much punching and fighting for my taste, but I suppose that is the nature of a superheroes type movie.

So yesterday marked one year to the day since I first walked through the door to my gym. At that point I was a walking medical disaster- IBS, plantar's fasciitis, migraines, maaaaaybe verging on depression- and I was exhausted with living that way. It certainly isn't an easy change to make (as everyone here knows), but looking back it just blows my mind what a difference a year can make physically and emotionally. Pretty much all of my medical issues have cleared up, minus the plantar's if I'm not careful, and I just feel more... human, I guess? It's weird. Anyways, last month was the worst month I've had since I started as far as eating/being lazy goes, but you guys helped me push through. =) Hoping for a great May!
WOWZA.... you are a walking, talking success story! You should be SUPER PROUD of yourself... and what an inspiration to others. Thanks for sharing that with us!
pjlla thanks. I will. Pathology test take two weeks to get back.
They really shouldn't make folks wait so long for important results like that.... but they do. I'll be praying for you for the next two week.
Hi everyone. I think it is time I come back. The last year has been a whirlwind. It has been about a year since my dad died. It was thesame day I was named Teacher of the Year. Iwent back to school in Sept with my mind made up that this would be my last year. After 38 years I think it is time to leave. I have spent all those years in the same building. I also hit 60 in 4 weeks. It is time to move on. This past Feb my father in law passed away in his sleep so I havebeen watching dh doing a great deal of things forhis mother including spending all day Friday with her.
You are right.... this past year has truly been a stressor for you.... both in good ways and in bad. Glad you made the decision to retire and take some time for YOURSELF!!
My AP students take their test on Tuesday and that makes the rest of the year easier.
I agree! DS isn't taking any APs (definitely makes my life a little easier), but his girlfriend is and wasn't able to make their scheduled movie date for today.... but we understood.
I just booked a trip with dh and a couple of friends for October to Disney World. We will be celebrate my retirement and our 60th birthdays. Dh will turn 60 when we are down there.
HOW WONDERFUL! I'm SO jealous!
I do want to set a couple of goals for the month. My eating has been getting better in the last couple of months. My biggest goal is getting back to working out. My weekly yoga class ended 2 weeks ago when the instructor couldn't fit it into her schedule any more. I do get a daily walk most days with our dog but I need more.
Will try to get back tomorrow.
Hope you find a new workout!
I'm here!!!!!!!!
I need to be back in, my eating habits have tanked since Christmas and my weight has skyrocketed.
So my goal for May is 5 pounds.
My daily challenge is squats every day and 75 miles by the end of the month.
SOOOOO very happy to see you back!!!
PS I missed you guys!!!!!
I missed you too!!!
