Remember that if you don't get what you are looking for today, just keep trying. I remember last year it looked like just about everything but the All Stars were booked but as the days and weeks went on, other hotels started to become available. Also, room discounts will start to come out later this summer. If you are staying at a deluxe resort, a room discount might be better than FD.

What's up with the 2014 part? Also, everyone in the party is over 10 (I have their ages in the website). Why Child Table Service meals?

We have the WL booked for a standard room in sept with WP&M option. The cast member said there was nothing available. I'm assuming standard rooms at the Deluxe Resorts aren't included? If I upgrade my view to a courtyard or bunk view(if it was available) I would end up spending more with the free dining anyway. Kind of a catch22 situation I guess.

I'm just pretty bummed because I was anticipating this being an easy discount to add to my package. Does anyone know if they send out pin codes even if you have a vacation booked already? Thats how I got free dining last year and it was so much easier than this year!

Thanks...I think some other folks are running into this same issue. There seems to be less available standard rooms. So in some resorts...you can get FD but you have to pay for the upgraded room. It's just another way for Disney to save money while still offering FD.

I tried to modify my POR reservation at 6:00 am today. For 45 minutes I kept getting a payment error even though it said I didn't need additional payment. I tried making an additional payment and that didn't do anything either. I watched a few room types become unavailable even when it said it was holding my option for 10 minutes, so I changed computers and browsers and was finally able to book the last available option, a river room. It was for more than I was hoping, but I am glad to have gotten the promotion!!

This kept happening to me and now it says that my reservation change was processed but my payment method was not able to be verified. I assume this is a glitch. It shows up correct in MDE.

I am relatively new here, but this post helped me so much!! I just got off the phone after a 2.5 hour hold... got CBR standard view 11/15-11/20 with free dining added in!! (we already had a reservation for CBR for that time frame, going with or without free dining lol) I am so excited!! I thought for sure that we would need to change resorts, room category, or dates (all of which I was willing to do!) but the cast member was awesome and worked some magic!!

Things seem to be opening.. could be from people like myself that went with a different offer now that RO was released and it was less expensive to use Passholder dining with RO. When I called about 30 mins ago there were standard POP FD rooms still avail for early September.

we tried same thing. tried to go from Pop to CBR w/free dining but they were out of everything but preferred which doesn't make $ sense for us. We went to CSR and got FD. Nov 11-18 here

I had a standard room last Feb at AS Music. I selected the Jazz Bldg as my first choice during online check-in & really liked that bldg. I found the location quiet, had a beautiful view of the fountain courtyard below plus the neon lights across the courtyard at night. I know the neon lights part may not sound so hot . . . but they weren't wild & were very pretty. I would highly recommend the Jazz Bldg if you haven't yet decided which bldg to stay in. It was closer to the food court & buses than other standard bldgs like Country Fair, Broadway & Rock. I didn't have a lengthy stay so didn't try the food court. However, it had just been renovated and looked new and clean.

I've got the same thing showing up too. Glitches. Everyone should be fine. We know what we paid for so not a problem. No doubt this will be corrected in the next few days.

I was able to book my RO for one night, finally. The website is wonky, some availability then no availability then some and so on. I'll keep checking, to see if something more budget friendly opens up. An AP discount would be better yet.

Hi All,
Been lurking for past week here and thought I'd chime in for the first time! I wanted to thank everyone who has had input on this board. As i First time Disney Traveler I don't think I would have been able to pull all they info that I accumulated from all of you anywhere else! We are a family of 5 with two little one that are 4 and 1. I managed to score CSR standard room with free dining on our travel dates.

Everyone keep trying if you haven't got through or found what you want. I was getting very discouraged because we used a Ta and I was worried we would be to late but we ended up getting pop in a standard room (5 of them!) after lunch time. I was worried pop standard was gone for sure but we got it! good luck all and happy for everyone who did get what they wanted. Enjoy!

It may also be all the warnings have finally coming to fruition - why shoild Disney offer discounts when they are so booked? So everyone that booked in advance hoping for free dining offer filled up the rooms and now limited dicounts because to need to have tons of offers

This is my first time trying for free dining. It will just be my dad and I. We had planned to go the week of 9/21-9/28 and staying at Pop. I just tried on the website for those dates and it says nothing is available for Pop. Should I just keep trying or are we completely out of luck now staying at Pop? I hope something will open up. Also, was there ever any UOC released for FD this year? That's what I've been waiting for and then suddenly today I see they just release the dates to the public right away.
