2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!

A little off topic, but can someone explain the water parks and more option. I booked it, but don't know how it works.

Keep trying. It was not available for me either, but I kept trying and eventually I got it. Don't give up!

This is my first time trying for free dining. It will just be my dad and I. We had planned to go the week of 9/21-9/28 and staying at Pop. I just tried on the website for those dates and it says nothing is available for Pop. Should I just keep trying or are we completely out of luck now staying at Pop? I hope something will open up. Also, was there ever any UOC released for FD this year? That's what I've been waiting for and then suddenly today I see they just release the dates to the public right away.

I always tell people: don't give up. My advice would be to call if you can and see if changing around your dates opens anything up. That is, if you're flexible for resorts/dates/etc. Not sure if there have been UOC for free dining this year. But, keep an eye out and keep checking, people may cancel, thus opening things up at POP when you need them.

It may also be all the warnings have finally coming to fruition - why shoild Disney offer discounts when they are so booked? So everyone that booked in advance hoping for free dining offer filled up the rooms and now limited dicounts because to need to have tons of offers

That sounds about right. :teacher:

You'll have water park tickets and tickets to DisneyQuest...for the length of your stay!

I would keep trying. We have different dates but were trying for pop and couldn't get it at first then we were able to get ours in a standard. So things could open up!

Thanks.... yeah I'll keep trying. The next available dates that are open for pop are the first week of October. (which would fall during my bday!) I'll have to talk to my dad about what he wants to do and if we can be flexible.

So if you have 7 day water parks and more, can you go to the parks 7 days and technically use the 7 water park days 7 other days, potentially covering 14 days? Just wondering because we have 7 day tix, but we are there 9. So the kids wanted to do a water park on our no park days plus Disney quest a couple nights.

I booked our trip initially and my mom insisted on signing it over to a TA, which seemed like a hassle. After all, we could rebook for discounts ourselves, right?

I am so glad I listened to her! When I woke up to FD at 6:30am and texted my mom, the TA had already gotten our discount. We had to move from BC to YC but that's a very small price to pay!

You will have a set number of entries to use at your leisure within 14 days from when your park ticket is first used, and your number of entries matches your length of days on your park ticket. For example, if you have a 5 day ticket, you have 5 days worth of admission to the 4 main parks, and 5 single entries for the WP&M options. So if you go to MK, Blizzard Beach and DQ in a single day, it would use one park day and 2 of your WP&M entries.

Just booked Art of Animation Lion King family suite. CBR nor Riverside had availability for my dates with free dining. CM said that currently none of the moderates have any availability left for free dining. He did encourage me to keep calling back though. Art of A. added about $1000. to my package over CBR, but that's still over $1000. less than just doing CBR and adding the non-discounted DDP. I really really wanted to stay at CBR, but that's a significant savings.

yess you can do that but the waterpark and Disney quest can only be use after your first visit in a park if a Remember (because of the 14 days to use it) but not quite sure about it

You get one entry per each regular ticket day you have. 7 day park ticket= 7 entries. You can go to a water park, disney quest, or play mini golf. The mini golf is only good before 4 PM. And they are separate from your regular tickets. You can use 2 in one day- do a water park and golf. If you use 2 of them, you saved money over paying out of pocket.

Thanks I got it now:thumbsup2

Water Parks Fun & More Option

This option offers a certain number of visits to Walt Disney World destinations based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits and a 5-day ticket allows 5 visits. (The only exception to this is that a 1-day ticket allows 2 visits). For each visit, you can choose one of the following:

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: This thrilling water park features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family.
Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: From fast waterslides to a children's area with pint-sized raft rides, this water park has attractions for everyone. Catch 6-foot waves and snorkel with real sharks!
DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park: Discover a one-of-a-kind gaming experience featuring 5 floors of cutting-edge technology, virtual reality and 3D encounters.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex: Play at the next level of sports excitement with state-of-the-art video monitoring and sporting events year round.
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course: Enjoy a 2,913 yard, par 36, 9-hole walking course with fun for everyone, from developing golfers to experienced players.
Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course: Play one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at a fun course inspired by the Disney classic film Fantasia.
Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course: Treat yourself to one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at either of 2 Santa Claus-themed courses.

Well, shoot...seems like things are slowing down and I still haven't heard anything from my TA except for "on hold". We have a Cars suite at AofA and seemed like it was available all morning even when the Mods were selling out. But now I see no availability on the site. Might have to start thinking about plan B, whatever that is.

On a brighter note, congrats to all you who are booked!:earsboy:
