My friends mom got a pin for 2014 ( she has not been to Disney in over 16 years). Can her mom book it for her daughter and grand son or does she have to go too?

Do they live in the same household? If so, she probably can, if not it is unlikely. No harm in trying, though. The worst they can do is tell her no.

On the pin, in the fine print, you will normally see that pins are not transferable.

She would have to be the lead on the first reservation, and she could book up to two more rooms under the pin.
