2014 MP Hopefuls!!!

I realized a fan girlish dream moment on the Disney Magic's Thanksgiving Cruise this last week. Look who I ran into on deck 5.

It's Marisol the DCL mom!
I was so thrilled to meet her, feeling a bit like my DD did earlier this trip when she met Mickey Mouse the first time. Oh my goodness you are real!
We chatted for a while about moms panel and our love of all things Disney and more about moms panel. She was quite gracious and kind and seemed almost as tickled that someone knew about the panel as I was to meet a real panelist. Almost.

My main goal was to talk to her a bit without totally freaking her out. Which only seemed possible because her DH assured me that it made her day when someone knows what moms panel is, let alone wants to be a panelist.
I tried to let Marisol enjoy her vacation, although we kept bumping into each other at the cafe and in the halls (I suspect our rooms were in the same general part of the ship.).
I figured I'd let the only people who might care as much as me in on the Magic.

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I have been gone so long! Lots of health issues going on, and I am slated for one more surgery on the 15th! So, I have been trying to get as many preparations for Christmas knocked off my to do list as possible.

I am so excited for our very first MouseQuest Podcast coming up tomorrow! This is going to be the beginning of something wonderful and rewarding.

It is bittersweet though, as I think about so many of us who should really be at MP training on Friday! Next year for sure.

Tony and I have been busy planning our trips for next year. We are going to WDW the end of February, staying at Beach Club!
Then we are planning a cruise for next fall, probably in October. We were bouncing around Royal Caribbean, Carnival, and DCL on the Fantasy. Price was a HUGE factor. We could do a Carnival AND a Royal for the price of DCL. But, after I made a list of all the pro's and con's, Disney was the clear winner! So, we will be booking that too!

Hello Disney Lovers...Amy, glad your back! Sorry to hear about your surgery on the 15th, that sucks!! Excited for podcast tomorrow & nervous. I'm also going to WDW in February--running the Princess half and bringing kids this trip. This Summer in June/July, my family will be taking our first DCL cruise! We actually took a Carnival Cruise last August to Key West, Nassau & Freeport Bahamas--it was a great price & I surprisingly LOVED it! We also chose for price because it was a last minute trip. In Nassau we parked directly next to the Dream, talk about a little jelly (jealous) I was envious of the cruisers on board. I felt I betrayed WDW a little(( But I'm definitely making up for it, by going to Disney more than ever. Woot!

Hey everyone! Amy, hopefully everyone is doing well and on the mend! Good luck with your upcoming surgery... I won't be able to listen in on the podcast tomorrow since I'll be at my real job, but I'm scheduled to be on Dec. 19. Can't wait to hear how it all goes!

I'm actually taking a solo trip in March. I usually do the Princess 5K, but my daughter has a dance competition that weekend, so I'm making up for it with some Mommy time. I truly have an awesome family that allows me to do this! My DS12 and I will be running the Expedition Everest Challenge the first weekend in May, and DH and DD10 will be our ChEAR leaders. And then I hope to run a 5K this fall. So, that's 3 definite trips, but who knows what else we'll fit in!

Strangely, that means we'll have our 2014 trip booked before our trip for 2013. Still waiting on DW's school district to release next year's calendar so we can see if a fall trip is do-able.

I'm not sure of the exact day(s), but the past few years during Spring Break at Easter the Magic Kingdom has reached capacity and they wouldn't allow others into the park. That being the case, people didn't leave for fear of not being able to return.

It happens on Christmas and New Year's and 4th of July too! The best thing to do is get a ADR at CP or CRT for before park opening that day. It usually closes to capacity by 10am.

We've had a bout with illness in our house this week. My youngest was home all week and now my DH is sick. I've been safe so far, but knocking on wood like crazy!

We are just under 4 months until our first DCL cruise!!!! Once the holidays are out of the way, I'll feel like I can start preparing more. We are just so busy in the next couple of weeks that I won't be able to even think.

I was glad to hear that the taping went well and you guys had fun! I can't wait to get a chance to record with you all!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have yet to check in! Our last minute trip to WDW is finally all planned so now I have nothing left to do except mess around with my ADRs and try to snag a Be Our Guest ressie and a Le Cellier before it goes up to 2 credits for lunch. We have never been there and I will never get DH to go if its 2 credits. So I guess this is my last shot!!
