According to their youtube video...RunDisney will have less runners but more corals.

This year if you recall, no one was allowed to change corals during the weekend. I know previous years you could walk up to the desk and show proof of time and they would change you. Now you have to email it by a certain date.

So.

Does anyone know how far back you can go with a proof of time? This year only or last year too?
Do you have the email address to send p.o.t.?
Do you know the deadline to email it?
Thanks.

From the Run Disney website :

New 2014 runDisney proof of time guidelines:
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in less than 3:15 hours, proof of time is required for start corral placement. Glass Slipper Challenge participants should adhere to Half Marathon proof of time requirements. Please reference the Pacing Requirements below for finish times and associated pacing per mile.

A proof of time must be provided from a certified race reflecting results after February 1, 2012.

•Half Marathon - 10K or longer

A valid proof of time provided at the time of registration must include the following*:
•Name of Race
•Distance
•City
•State
•Date
•Finish time

*For example, Walt Disney World Half Marathon, 13.1, Orlando, FL, 1/12/13, - 2:05

If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration. If proof of time is not provided by December 1, 2013 you will be placed in the last start corral. If your proof of time data is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start corral. To provide or update your proof of time, you must email all proof of time data requested above to disneysports@trackshack.com. No corral changes will be made after December 1, 2013.

As a reminder, you will no longer be able to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth during the Expo and have your start corral placement changed.

The above info is for the Princess half. If you're talking about WDW's marathon weekend, then the cut off date is a month earlier. You must submit it by November 1.

November 1.... just before the W&D. Hopefully, there will be some relief for those who were planning on this race for their proof.

I emailed about this because I won't have a proof of time prior to the W&D this year because of my last pregnancy. They said that they were not changing it.

I'm hoping to find a local race before Nov. 1, but there really aren't many options in my immediate area.

I emailed them yesterday so thanks. I have a race I did in the late spring early summer of '12 with a better time than what I have to offer now.

My friend is doing the Goofy in '14 and it will also be her first Disney race. She wrote down her time for the half which was decently under the 3:15 that they say they allow and that if you are going to do better than that than you need to prove it.
Should she send them an email or will they go by what she put down on the original application? She doesn't want to be in last coral either.

Does Disney (and I think this is true but not 100% sure) automatically place you in the LAST coral if its your first race with them? If you put down on the app that you think you will complete the half in 2:15....do they say 'okay, lets put her in coral...' or do they say 'well, I don't know if that's true since I have no record of her race time so we will put her in the back'.

She was telling she doesn't think she needs to email them since she put her estimated time down when she registered for this race...

Nope.... From what I understand, no official proof of time = last coral, weather it is your first Disney race or not. She would be better off submitting any time from a previous race than no time at all.

It would make sense. Otherwise everyone would be putting all sorts of times down.

IIRC, on the registration form there are two fields that deal with time. One is your projected finish time, and the other is an actual race time that can support that projected time. So if she put down a race as well when she put in her projected time, she's good. If she left that one blank, she should most definitely email them with a finish time supporting it.

What area of NJ are you in? I am doing the Seaside 1/2 on Oct 19 to use as my proof of time.

I am also signed up for the Trenton 1/2 on Nov 9 which I thought was going to be my proof of time race before they changed the rules.

I am in NW NJ. Rural warren county...not many races close enough. I did find one though...it will be in the beginning of October and only 15 minutes from home.
