Those rooms have had a variety of names over the years..turret..lodge tower..and most recently deluxe...They are the rooms with the extra sitting area...o two queen beds...but..pre this rehab no day bed..and in the sitting area a small sofe..which does not open to a bed..a chair and ottoman..and a tv cabinet...and a pretty French door lading out to the balcony..as opposed to the sliders...actually a very nice extra bit of space....

In any of the outer buildings they are a separate bookable category..but not in SL..as I had mentioned...they are only by request...and there are only three...the second floor has an enclosed balcony..as it is part of the portico roof line...the third floor has the standard pretty railing..and the forth floor has NO balcony..due to the suite next door...also the balconies are a bit larger than the standard ones...

Post refurb I am not sure if a day bed wille be added..since the furniture is now arranged differently..??? And who knows if they will add a sofa that opens??? Or even place the new day bed..which looks a lot like a sofa??? Only time and fellow DISsers will tell...lol..so hurry someone...and let us know!!! Lots of inquiring minds here!

Hi Bridget and WELCOME ... as MickeyNut said outer building deluxe rooms are not CL rooms...there are 3 deluxe rooms in SL which is the outer building CL ...but they are not a bookable category in SL....they are in the same inventory as the standard CL rooms..but can be requested if you are staying in that particular building...

Those turret rooms are a good size, but I'm in the minority in that I don't really care for them . We were originally assigned the room without the balcony and although the room is pretty good size, I like having a balcony as well as having the sunlight coming in to brighten up the room . Others think I'm crazy as some people would give anything to have that room, but I'm not one of them .

Hmmmm, I see you all talking about the Outer building deluxe rooms and that there are a few in SL available by request....what makes them deluxe? Are they a little larger?

We got lucky and had our SL request for turret room honored

Disneys site has pictures of the deluxe rooms. The one in SL looks the same. The size will be the same but you'll have to imagine it with the new furnishings.

Im taking my mother as a suprise for a mothers day gift and she has yet to know

You're welcome! The deluxe queen rooms in RPC really have a nice set up and a lot of extra visual and general space... I am sure that you and your family would enjoy a stay in one....

As for those outer building turret rooms..I am in the minority with you..not my fave either..and while I do think they have nice extra space..I really really love the standard room set up..slider and all...and you do have a very good point about the extra light it allows...

I do agree that the extra space in those turret rooms are nice, but I would choose a nice sliding door out to a balcony over it .

As for sitting in the lounge right now...I'll pretend to be sitting right there too...... As a matter of fact I can remember several evenings where we and a few other friends did just that... (this is the smilie version of the GF Society Orchestra...lol!!) What fun...

Hmmm... a get together with some GF friends??? Who could that be... ...It will be another fun time!! Cant wait!

Hi all! 66 days away from our first stay at SL and I'm preparing right now for our first trip to SWW and F&G in 5 days! Just curious if anyone here has been to F&G this year and has any tips/suggestions about food booths to try! We love sampling new foods so we are planning to buy lots of little things and sharing them.

I know that this is OT but this board has been so welcoming and friendly , I thought that maybe some of you would have some thoughts! Thanks!!
