2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival 9/19-11/10

The disney parks blog said there will be 10 premium areas around the world showcase and you can order from select booths at them. If there's something like 35 different booths I was imagining maybe you can only order from 3-5 different booths per premium area. Then people would go in order a couple of things and then move on to the next area to order from the next set of booths.

But idk... would that even work?

Who knows? I just went back to the blog, no clarification yet. It does mention "You can also bring your favorite marketplace treats into the Premium Package Areas and just relax."

I guess we'll have to stay tuned. Disney will tell us the details when they are ready.

Has anyone called the number listed on the Disney Parks Blog to get information about the Premium Package? It's different from the regular dining number:
"For the Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package, call 407-939-1889."

Classic. She even put me on hold for a bit so she could confirm. Guess we just have to wait and see.

This is sounding like classic "ready, fire, aim". I know that the family members traveling with me won't want to pay for this upgrade, so I will sit this out and see how goes.

I will be IRATE if they only give me one gift card. I am off to screen shot that page of the brochure, because despite being AP, DVC, TIW and Chase Disney Visa I got NO brochure!

Just tried calling to book 2 more F&WF events and after a 20 minute wait the CM answered the phone and said that their systems are down for enhancements so she wouldn't be able to book anything for me. She expected the systems to be down for an hour or so. Uggh!!! :(

The only way to get the "brochure" is to download it from the link that TIW e-mailed to members last evening. If TIW doesn't have your e-mail address on file you don't get notified of any of the special events.

I booked the Premium package for both me & my mother. I purchased 2 packages not 1 package for a party of 2 at a discounted rate so I expect to get the full contents of the Goodie bag for each of us as this is what I paid for. If that turns out to not be the case I will be joining those who demand a refund. Based on my experience with the premium package for the Star Wars weekends earlier this year I felt that that one was well worth the money I paid for that one. Like TDCNala, I crunched the numbers in my head figuring that I was planning to attend the Street Party at $80 anyway. I would buy at least $50 worth of food during my visit which will be covered by the gift card. The contents of the goodie bag would retail at least $50 so I think it's worth it. Even if the credentials are only good for 1 day it's still a deal as I would then use them on a day other than the night I am attending the Street Party. The CM I spoke with this morning indicated a date range the credentials would be good for but I didn't catch if the date started before the party date I booked. She also said that I would have to pick up the credentials on the Party date so that would lead me to believe that's the first day they could be used. Hopefully someone on the Parks Blog staff will clarify some of the questions that have been posted. Otherwise I'll see what the reports are after the first people attend instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming the worst.

Ok... after being rejected until 7:30 this morning I finally gave up went to work and called. I called around 8:40am got right into the hold status and about 45 mins later someone answered. I got everything we wanted with the exception of the Habachi Experience (i think I'll live without it!). So I booked the following

1. Tequila Lunch
2. Sunday Mornings with...
3. Parisan Breakfast
4. Epcot F&W Premium Experience

Very happy!! Time will tell about the Premium Experience... I think I will be happy with it because I am not and didn't think it was a multiple day thing... I did have to pick a date and went with a Tues. I was told I could pick up the credentials as early as 9:30am and the event would start at 12 noon and the night part of the event begins at 9pm ish until 1am. So like I said time will tell, but I am happy with my decision to book it and give it a try!

I hope no one minds if I vent !!! Because of all the problems we had with linking our Dolphin ressies with MDE I decided that once we were within our FP window I wouldn't book/chg anything for fear of having the problems so many others have, that is MDE losing things. Fast forward to today and I decide ...well booking something for F&W cant possibly cause me grief. Grrrrr I should have trusted my own instincts. So we book only the Pemium Package with the late night for 1 night. That's it ...one thing only. While Im on the phone she tells me she's linking it to our MDE and Im on while she's doing it....boom !!! All our dining and fp's disappear . So she plays around and says that shouldn't happen...then transfers me to IT. He finds everything and says "because this is a new event" it is having difficulty with the system but "don't worry....you may no longer be able to see your reservations but we can". Like that is supposed to make me feel better.
Bottom line...he couldn't tell me if it would ever get fixed and now under "My reservations" we have no dining at all showing up although our fp's are fixed . I hate MDE !!
:(:(:(

Just noticed the other posts about the Premium Package. I was told when booking (after she checked with her manager) that it is 1 gift bag per room which would give both of us magic bands, 1 bottle of wine, 1 gift certificate, 1 chocolate thing, 2 tickets for the late night event for 1 night only BUT Premium access for 2 for 1 week . She went to great pains with her manager to sort out the access issues because we're moving off site after 5 days and she was checking validity of that for us.

Im wondering how a midweek stay is going to be handled for the premium access, if it is indeed valid for a week. Ive read a few places its from Mon-Thurs. and if you wanted it for then next week you had to buy it again, but what if you are staying from Wed-Wed. I wonder if it will be valid Wed, Thurs and then Mon-Tues the next week? :confused3 I guess time will tell.

I am pretty sure each person will get a gift card. I got worried and called back and was told each person will get a magic band which is the ticket to the party and is also the gift card. So a preloaded MB? that serves as the ticket also. What I still cant figure out is if we only get one glass and bottle of wine. This is our Honeymoon and I would like to keep the glasses as a keepsake... and dont want to start off by having to share a glass with my Husband, We like each other, but not that much :goodvibes

Now for some brand-new “Premium” fun! From noon-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday during a select festival period (September 22-November 6), the Epcot Food & Wine Festival Premium Package is an opportunity for guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel (or the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels) to sip and savor in style. The package includes an in-room gift with wine for guests 21 and older, a festival wine glass, truffles and credential for the Premium Package Areas at the festival – plus an Epcot International Food & Wine Festival MagicBand and a $50 Disney Gift Card to start the fun. The credential gives access to 10 VIP “Premium Package Areas” around World Showcase Promenade where you can order items from Marketplaces and have them delivered to you – no waiting in line. You can also bring your favorite marketplace treats into the Premium Package Areas and just relax. The package also includes one admission to Epcot Food & Wine Festival – Late Nights LIVE!, which you can attend on Tuesday or Thursday night.

Something is up with the reservation system. On MDE I can't currently pull up any of my dining reservations. If I go to 'my itinerary' they are there, but the reservations page just shows a never ending spinning circle for dining.

I also noticed on the 'my itinerary' section that the F&W events are listed as a 'Reservation for One' (there are 3 of us), yet when I click on details it does list all 3 guests. I guess all F&W events are just listed like that :confused3

I also see no dining reservations on MDE (they were out there on Monday right after the Disney Visa bookings I made).

The dining system computers are currently screwed up (er, um, "undergoing enhancements"), as I've been trying to call and give them my $400 to book the way overpriced Premium Package (that I didn't even know existed until this afternoon!) and they can't do anything right now. The last call (a few minutes ago, she got as far as finally finding it, and then got told to sign out again). So close, yet so far...I've been trying for about 3 hours.

I can't remember where I saw what links, so in case nobody linked to the Disney page about the event:
Disney Blog: Two New Ways to Enjoy Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Congrats to everyone who got what they wanted this morning. Unfortunately, that is not us. :rolleyes2 Started calling just before 7 and got 'all circuits are busy' for 20 minutes. Then listened to Disney music for 55 minutes! :faint: I actually fell back asleep and was jerked awake by the agent answering the line at 8:15. No reserved seating for PftS Nov. 1. She even did multiple checks to see if she could make it come up. Nothing. Sigh. We did get the Parisian Breakfast though. So, I will apparently be seeing some of you other DISers on the first! :wave2:

That is exactly what mine is doing. The pre-paid events we had yesterday were showing the price I paid for them. I am hoping the price for the Premium package shows up on the ADR for the party, just in case I need to go make "The Face" at somebody when we get there.

They are more than welcome to just give us one bottle of wine, but there WILL be 2 gift cards or somebody at Guest Relations is going to be very frightened.

Don't everyone take this the wrong way but Im so happy to hear it isn't just me having problems with the ADR's on MDE. Now I can feel better thinking it will get fixed....lol !!!

Yeah...glad I found this thread ! DH and I are headed to F&W the week of 19 Oct. With almost ten weeks to go my aim is to lose 10lbs cause I figure that's what I will gain after reading what foods are being offered as I eat and drink around the world :rotfl2: so glad my mother-land of Scotland is offering vegetable Haggis...don't think I could have the regular Haggis like my relatives ate !
