From the Disney Food Blog

Booking Information

Booking for this year’s events will open at 7AM ET on Thursday, July 31.

Premium events may be reserved by phone at 407-WDW-FEST (407-939-3378) once booking becomes available! Select events will also be bookable online at www.epcotfoodfestival.com or disneyworld.com/dining. Specifically, we know that you’ll be able to book seminars and demos, Party for the Senses (for October 4, 11, 18 and November 1 dates), and Disney’s 3-D Dessert Discovery at epcotfoodfestival.com.

Holders of the Chase Disney Visa Card can book select Food and Wine Festival Events on July 29th at 7am ET. A limited number of seats will be held for Chase Disney Visa Cardholders, so if your preferred event sells out on this date, call back on July 31st to get access to additional seats. To take advantage of the early booking opportunity, call (407) WDW FEST.

NOTE: Epcot Admission is required in addition to the cost of the special events.
....thanks for sharing this info! :thumbsup2

Yes, that is exactly it!

While a few of the items are big enough to be a meal for some folks. (The noodle plate from China, the filet from Canada, insert another example here.) Others are just enough to anger your appetite! :rotfl2: The crispy pork belly from Brazil (my personal favorite), the Scargo from France, etc.

So they are just considered snacks & not covered as CS. I think it also helps that these aren't Counter Service locations, too....

....oh great! :headache:  Now you made me HUNGRY!

Because the samples are not considered meals. Nothing is a full portion. They're also not set up to do something like let you have 3 samples for one CS credit because, unlike food courts, the booths won't be able to take CS credits at all.

....too bad, because I was really looking forward to trying some new flavors...:confused3

Sorry, another question. This is our first F&W and we weren't planning on it when we booked our Sept. trip for the week traditionally before F&W begins, not that I"m complaining now. The deminars (I love that btw) that are held everyday...are those mostly done by Disney chefs or visiting chefs that are not considered celebrity chefs? We're traveling with 2.5 ds so I know we won't be able to do any of the special events, except maybe sign up for one of the lower cost events. My mil may be able to watch him while we take in an afternoon demo. What are the odds of getting tickets to those same day? We will be in Epcot on Monday Sept. 22nd. Thanks!!!

.....it's our first too, so I am really excited! Actually, come to think of it, we WERE there during November 2001 but we had no idea that a wine/food festival was even going on....:confused3

Has anyone here used IPO to book events at F&W? From what I understand, they don't have "an edge" or better luck, or do they?
I'm interested in the event with Buddy, which we've missed the past three years by just a couple days. Do you actually get to meet him? Take pictures with him? Just wondering what to expect!!
Thanks so much!! :)

We’ve gone the past couple of years to Buddy’s events and you don’t get to meet him at the event. He generally does a book signing after the event where you can go over and meet him, take photos, etc.

Here's some things for you to comtemplate.

You can see the deminar schedule on Thursday and then you'll know exactly who appears when, and you will be able to see who has one on 9/22. But in general celebrities are on weekends. the rest will be visiting or Disney chefs. If you bring your child to an event or demo, you will need to purchase a ticket for him regardless of his age, so it is a good idea to get someone to watch him.

If it's not a celebrity chef it is likely you can get a ticket day of.

Great info, feeds right into my obsessive planning need (compulsion) for Disney. :cool1: Thanks for posting!

Looks like only 2 demo's we want to book for the trip with my mother - Russian Standard Vodka (which I already love) & the demo w/ Keegan. Hopefully those won't be too much of a problem on Friday.

F&W info is posted in Disney website. Looking for low cost seminar Oct 10-13. First time to F&W. Any suggestions?

We have after hours wind down ressie for La Cava de Tequila.

Can someone give me a rundown (understandable) of who can reserve what and when can it be done? Also if it is reservable on line or must one call the #. I am confused with the whole thing. We are DVC members, have an AP, and hold a CHASE Disney Visa care. would appreciate some help here

There have been such things arranged as private parties, usually by various blogs or other Disney fan networks...Disney Food Blog does one. It is open to the public if you sign up through the sponsoring website, but this sort of event is not offered or sponsored by Disney.

i finally found out what i was talking about, its called the 3D Disneys Dessert Discovery. only offered 3 weekends in oct. 3-10-17 .....not my dates :(
