2014 anybody?

Good luck on the job!! Hopefully the Disney Fairies will help you out!!

I was worried I wouldn't get a job this year (I'm a teacher on contract) which would have severely put our trip in jeopardy so I can feel your pain!

I got the job!!! Offer email will be sent through in the morning. I haven't mentioned my trip yet, will wait till I'm ready to hand them back the signed contract. I'm a bit excited, thanks you guys, and to the Disney fairies for their help!

Well done you! And good luck getting the okay for your time off.

Oh but wait, I have an interview also tomorrow morning for a job 5 minutes from home, not 1 hour away! The job itself sounds much more interesting and 'hands on' to me, and could lead to some serious career moves in a few years. Somebody is smiling down on me today!

Ooh, you are on a roll! Good luck!

I work 5 mins from home and it rocks!!! My kids hardly notice I work full time!

Hey I'm brand new here! Fiance & I booked the Air NZ special fare flights for Oct-Nov and then came to the realisation about baggage allowances. We're staying abroad for about a month and getting married, a suitcase each wasn't gonna cover it! Plus we each have our grownup cases and our Mickey Mouse ones, both have to come!

We still could've saved money after adding more bags but not enough to forgo the convenience of traveling direct to LA and getting our holiday started quicker (and getting more velocity points while at it) so we changed over the very next day to Virgin. Our poor travel agent!

Congratulations on your upcoming Disney wedding :goodvibes How exciting!

I don't have a problem with the one suitcase thing, but I can see how it would be a problem for a wedding lol!

We are going now in Oct/Nov too with Air NZ specials.

I was thinking the same thing about adding an extra suitcase but we will have 4 large ones anyway and the kids wont be taking that much stuff so we should be fine.

We pack so heavily! Last time we went we had two suitcases & a backpack each! They are pretty light when we leave but we can't help ourselves and buy all the things & so many presents for people back home.

Congratulations on your upcoming Disney wedding :goodvibes How exciting!

Thanks! Yep we could've made a suitcase each work if we needed to normally but when we've got a dress, a suit & all that fun stuff coming with us it'd never happen. We've had Delta lose our bags before too so we're gonna be HOLDING OUR BREATH when we land!

Can I ask how much your Virgin flights were?

A big congrats on getting married - where will the ceremony be? Sounds like you are planning a trip of a lifetime:)

Thanks! Ceremony will be Sea Breeze Point with a reception at Backstage Prop Shop. Plus a bunch of other activities like Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, dinner at Planet Hollywood and farewell lunch at Crystal Palace with our guests (we're expecting about 20-25!) so it's gonna be awesome. I'm even looking forward to just getting up & having Mickey waffles with some friends. Actually, I'm mainly looking forward to Mickey waffles in general.

My fiance booked our flights through a family friend who is a travel agent for Flight Centre so I'm not totally sure! I think our package is right around $4000 for flights for the two of us but we are doing Brisbane-LA, LA-Vegas, Vegas-Orlando via Dallas, Orlando-LA-home again. From memory it was gonna be about $400 cheaper to add our bags and stick with Air NZ but the extra flight time and general worry about adding really essential bags meant we just didn't want to risk it this time. We've told our guests to get in while the offer is on though, only one more day!

Wow, how special to be planning a Disney wedding. It sounds delightful.

And what a great excuse for your friends and family to travel to that side of the world. I keep waiting for my London-based friend to announce she's getting married as it will help me justify a Europe trip to my DH. :)
