I hope it is. I never would have guessed it would be ok for people who weren't dining there to use their veranda. And if everyone knew this there wouldn't be any room for diners to find a spot, because everyone would be taking advantage.

It never was a problem any time I have had dinner there. It is out of the way, and the veranda is large.

I'm still a bit torn... Do you know if there is a monorail view (that isn't lagoon view)?
I think that our request will be: No dormer, king bed please, away from the pool - that is in our priority order...but it is still up for debate!

I'm not sure, possibly Sago. One side faces marina, other side may have monorail view? My friend who I travel with had that side of Sago. I'm trying to remember if I could see monorail from her room! I was in Big Pine Key. We requested rooms near each other, lol! We got locations on opposite sides of resort!

I searched the thread, and googled it for that matter, but haven't been able to find much. Can anybody tell me what the "arts & crafts" on the activity schedule is? I'm going back and forth between GF and Poly, we stayed at Poly last year and I really want to stay at GF, but I'm trying to decide if there is enough there to keep my kids entertained . Thanks!!

We are booked for 4 nights this summer in a Lagoon View room. First time at GF. I always said I'd never stay here but my options were pretty limited with the military discount. It was here or AoA and for only $400 more total, I would be a fool not to pick GF!

So my question is, which buildings have "Lagoon View" rooms? I would love a room close to the pool with waterslides and the main buliding. Can I request a specific building on online check-in? Which should I request? We won't be doing parks this trip, just water parks. But we will be using the pool often and eating at the quick serve place and riding the monorail around to the other hotels. So want a room that is not a far walk.

I'm here now at the Poly and the weather is gorgeous. We are in Aoteroa and have a view of the lagoon and the Grand! I am in my happy place!! I'll try and post some pics later.

Yes, they have the pink sugar Mickey ears soap. The Disney products are not online. I can purchase for you if you want and send to you later. Just PM me. It was at the Grand.

I did some major packing today! I am so ready for Saturday!!! Our travel agent finally did our online check in and called in our room requests. Hopefully we get our our unobstructed theme park view (we initially reserved a theme park view outer building) connected to my parents' room - or better yet, my dream of getting bumped to the Everglades suite comes true (I know, I know, it is a long shot and I am not counting on it but hey they would free up two theme park view rooms if they stuck our entire party together )!!

Both Boca Chica and Big Pine have lagoon views, and would be closest to both pools and main building.

Hope you're having a great time. How do you like the new Oasis pool? We were in Samoa last August, loved it. But Oasis pool was just a big mud hole!!

I've heard they changed Tonga Toast?? This August GF stay I was thinking of strolling over to Poly for breakfast, for Tonga Toast. Can you have a look at it if you're in Cooks for breakfast? I hope it's not true.
