I am loving reading your descriptions, especially because here in L.A. it's been particularly gloomy - cloudy with highs in the 60's. Enjoy the rest of your trip!
It's so warm and there are no clouds in the sky, we decided to sit at the pool for a while. It's funny the four of us are reading and writing on our iPhones. The Grand really is our home!
Love sitting by that WL fireplace any time of year! But lobby must be spectacular at Christmas!I'm sitting in front of the fireplace in the Wilderness Lodge with my husband. The lodge Christmas tree is decorated with beautiful ornaments from the Midwest. The lodge is lovely at this time of year.

We came back to the Grand for Grand Gaspy burgers. I can't eat them but everyone else loves them.

Sorry I've been MIA, no excuses other than being lazy and a sick dog..My crazy Disney dog, Eeyore ate one of those rope chew toys UGH. So after xrays and blood work he had it surgically removed this afternoon..Vet just called he did well and maybe he can come home tomorrow
Congrats, safe travels &to those who have trips coming up

We arrive late day on Christmas and are bringing along some decorations for our room. Is there somewhere to plug in lights if we want to decorate the balcony? We are staying at the Villas at the GF in a studio.
Hey, Blue...I'm also popping in these days for Candy's "play by play"! Just to read about sitting by that WL fireplace is so dreamy, especially knowing that the big, beautiful tree is setting the Christmas scene!
Mickeynut, are you doing alot of baking this year? I have done some, but as I may have mentioned before, I did "cheat" with some boxed mixes!People still enjoyed the cookies tho.

Saturday night Minnie and Mickey were at the Grand dressed in Victorian Christmas outfits. They were very festive. There was a long line of happy people waiting to take photos with them.
I forgot to mention that the roasted chestnuts the Grand serves their guests outside the front door has become a family tradition.
I love the Christmas music they were playing outside as you entered.
The Grand is truly Grand at this time of year.

Hello everyone! (and Merry Christmas)!
DH and I were at WDW around thanksgiving and decided to go and see the Gingerbread House. We walked for a few minutes on the GF as well and we were very impressed (I don't know if there was a lot of changes since we had been there to dine at the GF Café 3 years ago but at that time it seemed to us that it did not have the wow factor... Now we like it a lot!!!)
During our last trip we've been upgraded to a CL suite at the Yacht Club and fell in love with the Club Level perks.
I want to surprise my husband for his birthday in April and I booked a "Club Level Outer building -Standard room" at GF for our last night in WDW after the Cruise (we have two free nights somewhere else and we'll keep GF for last... But we'll check-in as early as possible!) after our cruise. It was expensive (thank you credit card!j but I'll save every penny I can find...
I'm so excited but I am just getting started in getting to know the GF.. I have a few questions:
1)I heard it was the best CL you could have (more choices and champagne for dinner) ...Is it true?
2) Being outer building CL, I believe we'll be in the Sugar Loaf building. The rooms have been renovated, right? (Because I disliked the old decor and I am in love with the new rooms, it was my #1 criteria for booking at the GF).
3) When you are CL outer building, do you have access to the Main Building or just the Sugar Loaf?
Thanks in advance!
