impressive multi quote blue skies  I have my tootsies up with a glass of champagne eating my turndown chocolate

Wonderful day today, evening offerings had beef kebabs and we are off to MK EMH not by monorail, holy crowded lol. Here's some pics View attachment 133055View attachment 133056View attachment 133057View attachment 133058

Oh gosh I'm sorry to read about your initial thoughts :(. I was just thinking the same thing that someone above posted -- that I've built up RPC so much in my mind that it can't possibly live up to my expectations. So I'm turning things down a notch and we'll see how things play out when we go next March. The evening offerings don't sound like the pictures I've seen, really, so I'm hoping things haven't changed (again..). And your room photo sort of just looks like an ordinary hotel room(?) hopefully it's a little more Grand than that in person. It's nice that you have such a great attitude and I'm hoping you can find some positives and maybe even grow fonder of RPC after you get more used to it. The very first time we stayed at Poly CL, we really weren't very impressed at all....food, CM's, room. Long story short, Poly CL is now one of our favorites! So maybe there is hope. I'll be thinking about you! :grouphug:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news..but we were just at the GF..and the carving stations are no longer there....:sad2: ...

Well that lasted what, all of 90 days:( The food that seems to be listed now is nothing like what we had in RPC in June/July. And, there was a whole lot of talk about making the experience special again.:crazy2: Oh well, I guess I will take photos and report back. Depending upon on our Christmas trip I may change our Jan/Feb trip to Four Seasons. Don't want to give up the AP discount until I am sure.

Has anyone here use Garden Grocer to deliver to GF? Does the bell service have a fridge for the food if they deliver before we get our rooms?

Yup..sure didn't last long at all...:(

Here are some differences that I noticed from the spring to the fall...markedly during the breakfast offerings...

Each day there was ONE spread available to put on your bread (besides butter)..EITHER the boursin cheese or a strawberry cream cheese...(which was pretty tasty) and totally gone ~the lox spread..which had dill in it and was sooo delicious IMO....as opposed to the 3 spreads that were previously available each morning...??? They have added hard boiled eggs..can't remember if they were there in the spring...also there was less of a selection of breakfast pastries and muffin choices than in years past..don't remember specifically because I am partial to the oatmeal..and ever since they permanently removed those scrumptious pecan sticky buns I've kind of lost interest....

I also noticed that there were less evening desserts...and seem to be mostly the same every evening....some very good...key lime tarts..yum...

Evening appetizers seem to still have a nice variety...and some new a different but delicious foods..the soups for instance...chilled pea soup..a peach gazpacho...

And the cheese tray...still a mix of cheeses and walnuts...not any other nuts though....there was an aged gouda, Irish cheddar, brie and honey from the comb...

I took lots of food pics to share but had my camera picture size setting much too large.....and when I try and crop them so I can post them the pictures look awful..so it will be great that you will be able to take more pics to share here with our fellow GF fans and foodies! :thumbsup2

Another nice..and tasty addition that I almost forgot..and cranberry lemonade...a nice mix of sweet and tart....and refreshing....maybe our resident mixologists...:drinking1..Trish and Dispro (yes I did have a grand splash in your honor)..will have a good liquer to mix with this to make it even better! :flower3: Its always about the food..and the drink too...

I got the zip up hoodie last year. I also got a white sweatshirt with cute gold and red accents. The white sweatshirt is currently on Disnystore.com. The off white sweatshirt is light weight, not boxy and very comfy!!(here are details)

The friends and family is on now at 25% off and these light up ears will be a must for MVMCP::yes::

Just saw pics that the tree is up in MK!!woohoo!! I never get to see that :santa:

I'm staying at GF for the first time in a couple weeks. I'll have 2 little ones and a double stroller. I have a CRT & CM ADR at 8:25 & 8:35 am. I see the monorail schedule has been starting at 8:30 am. If that's the case, my only option is to get there by boat?

Buses run as well. That's what we took when we had a pre park opening

Packing for winter trips sure is difficult! There have been some years WDW was colder than home!! Crazy!

its so hot like record breaking hot. 90s during the day and high 70s at night. We did EMH last night and we were sweating in shorts. Stuck on the monorail currently lol. It's record breaking heat for this time of year the CMs were saying. Hoping to get some champagne shortly :)

I won't be returning here, but just because it isn't my cup of tea doesn't mean you won't love it. All the offerings at all the CL are not what they were. This grand girl has to vote for Sugarloaf beating RPC on CL value for price paid YMMV of course. Full report on my return, but nothing was smooth here and management was apologetic but kinda acted like it happens all the time.

We were there 10/24-11/2. It was so darn hot. We had decent weather Saturday- Monday, but after that- OMG. Ridiculous!!! But not as bad as August!

Ugh - don't love hearing this!! I've been checking the weather pretty regularly and I am shocked it's still mid-80s. It's not showing much of a change over the next couple of weeks, although looking that far out isn't necessarily accurate. I picked November for cool weather - like high 70's during the day and high 50's at night with no humidity. I'm already bummed that crowds seem like they will be high and I will be summer bummed if I sweat in November - LOL! But it sounds like I'd better start expecting some warm days.

@pas130 - sorry you are stuck on the monorail!! Hopefully not long?? Can't wait to hear your trip report about what wasn't so "smooth"!

I live in the south, not Florida but our weather has been abnormal for this time of year. We usually are freezing on CMA night but it's been pretty comfortable that you can get by during the day with jeans and tshirt.
