Has anyone used Touring Plans to check the room views? If so, how accurate are they? I'm looking at the CL Standard View Rooms for the Beach Club. They have some that look like they're actually a water view, but on there Touring Plans, it's categorized as a Standard View. They are the NW facing rooms (i.e. Room 5679)

Ive tried finding just a standard room, but TP seems they only have a few views in the database, and most of the rooms reference one of the few views in the database. Look at the top fine print to see if the view is actually the room you picked. Also, not happy that the type of balcony is not listed, or if the room has a daybed. I did not find TP useful for picking a room. I selected a room just so that TP would fax it at ten days out. I changed the wording of the fax contents to "upper floor, daybed, full balcony; and, please use allergen free detergent for linens."

Just booked the Sandcastle Club for Saturday 8/29/15 for my two grandsons while the adults go snacking and drinking around the world showcase. Of course we are starting at Martha's Vineyard with the home made chips and chorizo dip. Has anyone had this yet? Wondering if it is good.
Where is Martha's Vineyard located? Maybe that should be our first stop too :)

Luckily my husband likes to run in the early morning at Disney. You can bet he will be stopping there "on his way back" to the room!

I love running in the am. Something I'm really looking forward to!! Will have to make that bakery pitstop!!

Silly question, but can my daughter find any sea shells on the beach of Beach Club?

I'm not sure...would be pretty cool though!!!

I don't think so.

:)

Is that a Juliet balcony room or full? Debating if I should request a north facing room to get a side view of the pool lol

Not sure about the balconies on either of those two rooms.

:goodvibes:

Off the coast of Massachusetts.

:rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist!

It is in the corridor between BC and YC, behind Beaches and Cream. Next to Cape May as Floridagirl61 pointed out.

:cool2:

I submitted my photos to Touring Plans and they still have not used them!

Dee: Our dates will be Sept. 12 - 19th!!! Hot, humid, rainy.....but hoping for very low crowds :worship: Can you add us to the Be Our Guest List pretty please? Richard and I can't wait to visit with Teena again .

thanks in advance!!!!

I'll be staying CL in 2 days! First time CL at BC. I read about a test where you could text CL Cm's requests for 4th fast pass while in the parks. I received a welcome letter back when I booked in Oct. It has a phone & fax number. Didn't say anything about texting. Is the test over, did they decided not to roll out that feature? Our FP times end between 12:20-1:20, would love to request 4th FP for evening attraction at different park without having to ride over and use kiosk. Thanks for your help.

Oh no ... not totally sure yet but Bob and I are hoping to be on the Disney Fantasy that week.

They have full balconies. We had 5677 when we were magically upgraded back in 2012.

I'll break the news to Richard at a later date!

Possibility it will be two weeks from the 12th. We have to wait a while to make the decision.

Hello! Question about Boardwalk Bakery location. Staying at YC in August, and thinking we might stop here for breakfast one morning on walk to Epcot or DHS. Is it on the way to either of those parks or do we need to make a detour?
Thanks!
Sandy

Replies with walking directions have been accurate but also wanted to point out if you exit YC, look at the dock and find the boat to Epcot about to board, you could take a boat ride across the lake and exit at the Boardwalk dock which is near the bakery.

Just be sure it is the boat to Epcot (not DHS) and remember to exit at BW.::yes::

Here now and the construction has bit us squarely on the keister. Asked for a full balcony, high floor - received a really nice room with a full balcony on the 2nd floor. Was very pleased despite not be refurbished...until the noise started. We were in 2596 and the construction was directly above us - no joke or exaggeration - it sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling. Drilling non stop, hammering, slamming - really awful - Luckily our 4 year old was able to nap through it but my husband and I were fairly miserable. The email from the Beach Club said construction would happen daily from 10-4 - not true - 8:30 - 6pm.

So, we asked to move. Got sent to a room again on the 2nd floor, with a non-working tv and a small balcony. Called back, said they could move us again but it wasn't ready and could be 4 hours. It's raining here now - so we'd be without a room with nothing to do with a small child for 4 hours (this is one our of resort days, no parks today). Ultimately we decided to stay. TV has been fixed.

Everyone we dealt with has been pleasant just not the solution we were hoping for - having to unpack, repack, unpack, listening to that awful noise, settling for a room not as nice, etc. But it won't ruin our vacay, we will still have a nice time...once we unpack AGAIN and the rain stops :)

Lesson learned - will never stay at a resort under construction again. And if we come back here - it will be to the Yacht Club - the small balconies are a no-go for me, won't chance it again.

Thank you to this board - I've lurked until now but have gleamed a lot of great info from your contributions.

So sorry for your experience! I hope your new room is quiet. My husband mixed up the dates on my kids' fall break last year so we had to stay at the Poly a couple of nights before moving to GF. As you may know, they were renovating the lava pool at that time as well as building the new bungalows at that time (at Poly). We were in a TPV CL room, and there were dump trucks coming in with loads of dirt all night long! We didn't get any sleep that night. Evidently, they were not supposed to be working at night, so they refunded our money for the night and moved us to a different room (although we were really sleepy at the Halloween party the next night). I hope they will make the workers stick to the schedule at BC because it should be whatever hours were stated in the email. I hope the rain stops soon and you all have a fantastic time!
