Would I be missing out of we just did not do Via Napoli?
We tried Via Napoli in December - the food and service were good, and the atmosphere is cozy and nice, but I wouldn't make it a "do or die" kind of place...Would I be missing out of we just did not do Via Napoli?

Hello! It's been quite a while since I've checked in here! We have modified our reservations for our July trip and we are now booked for our entire trip at BC! And we booked CL, too! Yay! I gave my husband two options....stay two nights at BC and the remaining seven nights at POR and get the DDP or nine nights BC CL with the QS dining plan. Smart man chose well! 55 days until we leave!!!!! I guarantee I'll be on the DIS a lot more in the upcoming weeks!
Please dance the Happy Dance with me!!!
We have 3 rooms booked for September with the magical company that is discussed on here. Anyway, in one of the room will be my 2 grandchildren and at the time of travel they will 7 months and 21 months. We will need 2 pack n plays or cribs in this room. The travel agent said to wait until we do our online check in. Would you recommend waiting this long or is she just trying to pass off the task a little? Also will be in a standard view room. I havent found a map explaining where these rooms are like i have seen for other resorts. Is there such a thing?
Our dates are set now for Sept 12-19th if you want to update the BOG list!! Thank you!!
We stayed in (I think) 3501 once, third floor right above the secret entrance, water view but since it was at the corner we also had a view of the trees towards Epcot. Best room ever. If you don't mind stairs, it's a shorter trip to the International Gateway at Epcot than it is to the BC lobby...
In case anyone is interested, Chef Mickey is now open for reservations for brunch - starting May 31 I think. Just a "heads-up" in case you are still looking for a Mickey Character buffet....Chef Mickey is kind of hard to get sometimes...but I got in and was able to change my breakfast to a brunch for our last day - I figured that a last hug from Mickey would help us with our late afternoon travel!!
It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Hollywood Studios and the bus depot is a lot more convenient than the bus depot at Epcot. You could also take a boat to HS if it is right there or on its way. It is about the same amount of walking time as it is to walk through Epcot and it might be quicker to get to GF via bus than by taking two monorails. A taxi is quickest, though.I have an ADR for CA Grill and Narcoosse during my trip. Is the easiest way to get there to walk to Epcot from BC and take the monorail? Approximately how long would such a venture take?
The driving time from the airport to the BC is about 35-40 minutes in good traffic. It looks like you might be in rush hour traffic. You probably want to give yourself a half hour to check in to your room, through the International Gateway and then down to Italy in the World Showcase. That gives you about 40 minutes to get off the plane, grab your luggage, and pick up your rental car. I agree with others that it would be a bit of a rush to get to Via Napoli on time. I would keep looking for a Via Napoli reservation that was around 8pm and if you can't find one, then you might want to cancel it at least 24 hours ahead of time.Ok, now that I got that out of my system. I made and ADR for Via Napoli @ 7:30 on our arrival day. We land at 5:15 PM, renting a car, staying club level. Do you think I can make my ADR? This is the only day I can fit in Via Napoli and I have read great reviews about it. However, being club level should I just grab something at the resort so we don't have to rush?
Thank you for your help.
Beach Club villas are in high demand but it doesn't hurt to ask when you check in. It always seems like it is easier to get upgrades for very short trips than for longer ones.My other question is do you know if Disney does the thing that some other hotels are doing where they offer upgrades (if available) for an additional cost at check in? It would be awesome to have the chance to move up to a 1 bedroom for a fee if there were any openings. I know Hilton does this but wasn't sure about Disney.
We're less than 30 days out (!!!!!!!!!!) from our split stay (BCV and regular BC) and I have a few questions I couldn't find answered anywhere else. We have a woods/garden view studio for the first 2 nights and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for favorite locations to request? Our only real desire is to not be on the ground floor and, other than wishing then refurb had started on the villas so we could hope for a spiffed up room (which they haven't yet - right?), we're pretty flexible.

Also - does anyone have an update on the refurbs at BC and where they are with them (what floor they're they are working on, etc)? Thanks!
Here's the recipe I have:
1 oz Malibu coconut Rum
1 oz Midori
1oz Orange juice
1oz Pineapple juice
.05 oz Curacao
Splash of Sprite
Instructions
Fill tumbler with ice and pour in the Rum and Midori, OJ, Pineapple Juice, Sprite and stir.
Top with sprite and float .5 oz of Blue Curacao on top.
Gosh it looks like a Welsh Dragon, that bright green color, of course it is not
(and the Welsh Dragon has completely different ingredients. )
Aaaagh!! I'm so frustrated. We are taking a trip 6/6-6/13 to Disney. Originally I wanted a BC/Poly split but couldn't get the BC for the dates needed. There was always one day (the 10th of all things) that wasn't available. So I finally booked a Poly Standard view room for the whole time. I'm pretty concerned about the construction though so I have been continuously checking for BC rooms to open up plus we do love BC. Finally today an AP discount room opened up for 10-13 and I was thrilled. I booked it and then went online to adjust my Poly dates. Here is where my frustration starts (continues??) when I try to reduce my room nights to checkout on the 10th it/Disney website won't let me do it. It treats it like a new booking and only gives different classes of rooms (i.e. more expensive ones!) for the reduced days. So frustrating since I know the room is there but it won't let me keep our standard but just for less days. Now, I have one room booked for the 6-13th and the other for the 10-13th until I decide what to do. Blah! I really don't want construction during out whole stay but was willing to gamble on part of it. Plus, I wanted to check out the new Poly pool area and the Trader Sams. Rant over. Anyone have any luck calling vs. booking online with this sort of issue? I tried calling and the guy just said he didn't see availability for those days and wasn't flexible. I wonder if someone else would be more willing.
I haven't had any experience with this personally, but I have heard of several other people on other threads that have had the same problem...evidently, this is new Disney policy and not a good one People are saying that they had booked a BB offer thinking they could make adjustments if needed (as you've been able to do in the past) only to find out that you could only adjust your dates if your room category at your choice hotel was still available! VERY frustrating! I hope you can get your trip worked out and have a great time anyway
And those ingredients are...???
Yes, ingredients please?? You come over here, throwing drink names around....then don't tell us how to make it??? We LOVE a good drink on this thread
I had never heard of a Welsh Dragon, so I Googled it...apparently, Rose & Crown serves it...who knew???
Here's the entry I found:
"Is this drink beautiful or what? Before even tasting a drop, I was struck by the gorgeous combination of colors. But a beautiful drink is useless if it doesn’t taste good. Fortunately, the Welsh Dragon does not suffer from that problem.
Official description: Peach Schnapps, Melon Liqueur, Creme de Menthe, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice."
So pretty different ingredients, but it also sounds pretty good!
