2013 Vacations

Where is everyone going this year, if anywhere?

Our vacation has gone from WDW to Myrtle Beach to now we're staying closer to home and just going hiking and staying in a cabin for a few days. What we have planned now will certainly be cheaper, but I'll miss doing the "big trip" this year for sure.

How about you? What are your fun plans so I can live vicariously through you?

4 night cruise on Disney Dream this month. Son getting married in November so that is it for this year.

We didn't vacation last year so we have two coming up. In March we're doing a 7night RC cruise out of San Juan. In June we are going to Paris for 8 nights.

I hope to get to WDW for a long weekend, trying to see NPH do the CLP.

First week of May is the 11th annual MINIs On The Dragon in the foothills of the Smokies. This will be my eighth time for this event.

Then there are Indy Car races in June and August where we get to hang out with Cadillac Racing Hospitality. That was a blast last year and we made great friends with some Cadillac Racing people.

That's all that is planned for now.

Just moved up here and bought our first house so no vacation this year.

I'm holding out for 2014 to visit my family and 2014 for DLR!

New Hanpshire and Ohio - saving to take granddaughter to WDW next year!

We are doing Disneyland for a few days. I am hoping to go to the beach for my anniversary. If we just end up at a hotel for a weekend I will be thrilled!

DD's getting married this summer so first a week in Durango, CO for the wedding and then a week in Las Vegas with the extended family. Can't wait!

We'll do WDW this spring for 7 nights. DD get married in November and DS has a trip to Ireland next spring so we probably won't do another big family trip til 2015. I am dreaming of Milan for the Worlds Fair and some touring. Guess we'll have to see! We usually do a week at the beach a few times a year regardless, but that's close and fairly inexpensive.

No big Vacations this year. I hope to get a couple of weekend getaways in. In 2014 we are going to do a 2 week trip to Portugal/Spain/Morocco. It is tough having no big trip this year but at least I have the big one to look forward to.

Family reunion June 2013 in the North Georgia mountains. We are all camping, so its about $30/night. I'm staying In my camper for a whole week for less than $250. For that, we get fresh air, hiking, hay rides, and a nightly campfire under the stars. So happy I come from a camping family!

We're doing a combo NYC/Boston/WDW vacation in May/June. Can't wait!

We are going on our 10th annual Outer Banks trip. We spend two weeks in a beach house on Hatteras Island every summer. I burned out on WDW-after about 20 years and going lots of other places too. Now, surf, sun, seafood!!

A week in Hilton Head over Feb. break. (Staying with grammy and grampy so very cheap) and the two weeks on Cape Cod this summer.

5 days at WDW with our DS and DD (both adults), 5 days at WDW just us, 3 night cruise on DCL. We may try to squeeze in a long weekend. Thank goodness for our DVC and PAP's. Otherwise it wouldn't be doable for us.
