Nope, that mug expired when you left ASM on your last trip. You can use it all you like at home, at work, etc, but not for free refills.

The rules are to use it where purchased and for the LOS.

I really hope they link the mugs to the RFID. I have so many darned mugs at home... more than we know what to do with x2 that I'd rather reuse mugs I have and just scan my RFID as proof I purchased a drink plan. No scan, no beverage... irrelevant of mug. I don't know if that'll ever happen... just wishful thinking from my overflowing cupboard

I hope that they factor in split stays when they do it.

I also hope, but I have a feeling they won't. And that will be the end of my lomg-standing purchase of resort mugs, since I do split stays regularly.

Maybe they'll scan your RFID wristband when you "buy" the mug and it will just be good for 14 days from that point on. Seems like the easiest way to deal with split stays.

They will scan the chip in your mug, maybe your magic band and disable your refills when you check out.

We were at ASSp recently and checking for new mug styles. One day it seemed like the supply in food court was running down, so we thought MAYBE they were getting ready to stock a new style mug. No luck! Next day the bins were full of the same old mug.

We commented during that trip that it seemed like there were very few people using non-conforming mugs for refills. Either Disney is cracking down and telling people they can't fill them, or it's been so long on the same mug style that everyone who is bringing old mugs back still have the current design

A note to those who with Disney would bring back the fat-bottom mugs - check out your local thrift store. I have seem them there occasionally.

Does anyone know if you will be able to use RFID mugs on a split stay? We will be at BC for five nights and Poly for four. I'd hate to have to buy ten mugs (well actually I wouldn't...but I'd hate to have to choose which part of our trip to use them).

DD is a cast member at POR food court and says the options there are black, neon pink, and blue. So I guess the colors must be standard.

New mugs are just a guess right now until something is implemented.

hubby and I do split stays more often than not! sometimes we split a room only discount, at a value or a moderate resort, with DVC oints at a deluxe resort. we buy the mugs at the firs tresort and use them for our entire ONE Disney vacation.

if they transfer to the RFID chips, I will have no problem at all, when checking in to the 2nd resort, showing my vacation itinerary, and my receipt for my mugs at the first resort. I am confident they will, in whatever manner possible, make sure I can use my mugs for my entire , SINGLE, disney vacation.

Anyone recently returned seeing a new style mug available yet? Is it still the same pastel pink/turquoise/black one they have been selling FOREVER!?

You are probably right, Bill. Once they get the new RFID room keys set in place, I bet the mugs come out, too. And access to the soda dispenser will come with your bracelet.

They should be be pretty darn close. Our last three stays we had the RFID room keys and, for our next trip, we received a note we should have our APs converted to the RFID pass.

We havent been 'home' since oct '11, theyre still using black, teal & pink?! Come on! Coming back in oct. Was certainly hoping for new. In that case can i be sneaky & bring them back? Lol
