2013 Disney Cruise Line: Magic and Wonder Itineraries and Details

I just spoke with a cast member at Disney Cruise Line who informed me that the 2013 itineraries for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are being “finalized” and could be released at anytime.

The cast member also believes that the announcement will be made at that time regarding the four December 2012 cancellations of the Mexican Riviera cruise (on the Disney Wonder).

Inquiring minds want to know what’s happening on Disney Cruise Line!

That's the FIRST thing DCL ought to announce!

I tried to find the thread I read this in but couldn't...sorry. I don't remember what the speculation was just that it would not be in Alaska...NY again maybe?

There was a thread where someone said that the Wonder was going to Bermuda so it wouldn't be in Alaska. It was a stretch (IMO) because the dates in Bermuda weren't over the summer so wouldn't conflict with Alaska.

Oh that. I remember that. Has Disney ever stopped in Bermuda before? I had wondered if that was why a picture of the ship had appeared on their website.

I looked at another cruise line's itinerary for Bermuda. The ship only went there. Sailed there and docked for 4 days. I could see a few of those. But a whole summer of just trips to Bermuda for days on end? I know it's nice but it's too bad there aren't more stops on the itinerary.

I got an email from my DU TA asking for preferences. She stated that they are hearing that they could be released as early as Sunday morning. Still, everything is just rumor, but I would assume that if a TA is asking for preferences, they feel pretty strongly about it!!

In the past they weren't available to book online, only over the phone for the first few days. If they do what they have done before, Gold and Platinum Castaway Club members will have a day or two to book prior to everything being open to the public. No way to know if they will do it that way this time though.

It's kind of hard to list your preferences when you don't know what the choices will be! I might be interested in a Transatlantic cruise, but it depends on the dates and itinerary. I also might be interested in a September Hawaii cruise, but only if it is a one-way from Vancouver.

I totally agree with you. I might want to do whatever you have, but I might have to sell my house to do it!! I'm trying to think of the best way to phrase what I want. Hopefully they announce itineraries before booking actually opnes.

I emailed my TA my cabin category preferences, the dates I could travel and the places I want to go. I'm sure she will put something together based on that and then we can go from there. I'm also going to be online or calling DCL myself when I can.

Eeeek I am so excited!! We are supposed to be saving for a house, and we are going to Disneyland Paris in March, but I think we may just have to book the EBTA!

I say may have to book, I can neither confirm or deny that I may have already emailed Dreams Unlimited with my preferences!

FYI. Either book yourself or leave it to your TA. Double and triple booking causes the pricing tiers to be reached faster leading to rates rising faster and those suckers do not come back down!

However, if you want to move a cruise that is already booked with a travel agent, only the travel agent can do so.

I definitely want to email my TA my preferences, I just wish I at least knew dates. Like I would rather go in Spring or Fall, but that might not even be an option! I'm just trying to get either a) slightly cheaper cruise or b) slightly cooler weather!

*sigh* in all honestly it doesn't really matter; we don't have kids it is just the two of us....it's just a hard thing to decide for an OCD girl like me!

The thing is by the time my TA emailed me the trip she found was already hundreds of dollars more than what I had found. Just a pure timing issue. I don't have a dummy date to move do I'm ok in that respect. I ended up transferring the ressie to her after I booked it.

Just received an email from my travel agent about what they have heard regarding 2013. It looks like there will be 2-3 Panama Canal Cruises. Western and Eastern Med's including 12 days.

I thought you were on one of the cancelled Dec. 2012 Mexican Riviera cruises and were looking to move it to something else.

I am but I just rebooked my April trip and got the OBC and added the deposit fir Dec to that trip. Worked out really well. I'm actually going on that trip and am really looking forward to it. Looking to book a completely new trip. Hopefully I can find something that fits the school vacation schedule and is somewhere I want to go.
