2013 Madeira Port Schedule Out!

Our TA is organizing all their 2013 requests this week so I am thinking the announcement must be coming soon (oh please! Oh please! Fingers, legs, arms, ankles, toes and eyes crossed!!!!)

I have a friend who works for the cruise line and he said that he has a huge meeting on Wednesday! I'm guessing they are going to finally tell the cast what the schedules are looking like since he said they have been kept in the dark about it as well!

Hopefully we will all know within the next few weeks!!

We are on the Dream next week and when I get off on Thursday I hope there are new stuff out there!

Any news from the meeting?

:sad2: Smack in the middle of the school year. Thanks again DCL for excluding school-aged children.

DCL operates year round, so there will always be cruises going on when kids are in school. I wouldn't expect DCL to end their Alaska or Europe cruises in mid-August just so school-aged children could sail to Hawaii or across the Atlantic.

I went on vacations throughout the school year all the time (at least once a year, usually for 2 weeks) and I still did very well. Is it really so bad to take a kid out of school with lots of advance notice? There are a lot of at sea days going to Hawaii so there is a lot of time to work on any homework.

But, I would also like to add that the world doesn't revolve around school-aged children, or children in general. There are people who look for cruises during the school year because there are less children. Or myself, who is also limited on when I can go (college-aged person) where not going to school is way more detrimental. I have a very short time for vacations because I plan vacations in the times that I have off that most children don't such as the first three weeks September and the second week of December. I want to limit my kid exposure not because I dislike them but because it means that it's more crowded. I kind of just accept that I will not be able to go on the TA cruises and think that maybe it'll just have to be something of the future.

I am sorry that it limits your vacationing, but it's opening doors for others.

I hope they announce the 2013 itinerary soon... I have two dummy/placeholder reservations right now and even though I know I can move them in time, they make me nervous.

My TA says we will hear within a week.. so I should be prepared.. talks are Eastern Mediterranean, Hawaii and panama canal.

Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, this is true I have absoloutely NO interest in an Alsaska Cruise, but now a Hawaii cruise that is something I totally would love to do. Then make that a Disney Hawaii cruise and I would be in hog heaven.

So it would be nice to have other locations besides Alaska on the west coast in the summer.

It always seems the special cruises are always during school times and honestly I probably could not afford a Hawaii cruise through Disney anyways but have thought about the idea of a different cruise line and then a side trip to DL.

I feel this way about only having the Alaska option ( I want to a cruise/DL trip in the summer) I would love a MR cruise in the summer. Yes, I know it is hot, I am O.K with that since I am a regular August DW person heat is never an issue. I would evenn be happy to have a Western/California coast cruise option.

2013 Disney Cruise Line: Magic and Wonder Itineraries and Details

Posted: 11 Jan 2012 10:00 AM PST

I just spoke with a cast member at Disney Cruise Line who informed me that the 2013 itineraries for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are being “finalized” and could be released at anytime.

The cast member also believes that the announcement will be made at that time regarding the four December 2012 cancellations of the Mexican Riviera cruise (on the Disney Wonder).

Inquiring minds want to know what’s happening on Disney Cruise Line!

Really? Wonder what the wonder will do all summer?

I tried to find the thread I read this in but couldn't...sorry. I don't remember what the speculation was just that it would not be in Alaska...NY again maybe?

Who knows though! Sounds like we all will soon enough :thumbsup2
