If you were lucky enough to get one of those rooms...but yes, you can upgrade for $18 (adults) and $3 (children). These costs are rounded of course.

Where did you see that? I am wondering about LM rooms I also wonder what weeks will be blacked out before they start the October FD promo. Ugh! 10/2 come on!!

This is what I am wondering as well. Will there be any discount at all for the last two weeks of August? We are booked August 21-28.

Do we think that they will offer free dining in October now since the window is so small? How are crowds typically then? Low, correct? We are going the 1-8th and I am specifically looking at then.

Wife is a teacher and one child will be in school so early to mid August is the only time we can do the trip. Considering free dining probably won't be available are we best to book directly if I don't care what is in the magic your way package? Or, I can get a 10% discount from one of the online travels sites plus 6-7% in cashback from a referral site. Also, I can cancel 4 days out instead of the 45 days without penalty. The one downside is you pay when you book the room.

Likely the kids won't always make it to dinner time and we'll probably take some midday breaks to go back to the hotel so the kids can make a few late nights. The tickets discount for booking a room and tickets doesn't seem to be any better than what you can get using one of the ticket resellers. I can see us booking a few character dining experiences, but I can't see paying for QSR at around $100 or the Deluxe at around $140 a day.

Anything I'm missing that makes booking with Disney directly better?

I still think there will be some free dining dates in October. The last week of October is a historically low crowd week, so I think that week is still on the table.

I AM OVER THE MOON!! WAHOO Finally a Free Dining deal and my dates are included!! I landed Airfare from Chicago to Orlando for my fam of 4 for $803 total!! From Chicago that is a fantastic deal!! Everything is lining up way too good... hope the weather holds out for the trip and everything will be perfect!

Great deal! I thought we got lucky with $677 for a family of 3!
