2013, February 24 - Disney Dream

This is our 11th Disney Cruise, it is the best way for me to vacation.
I am a single mom and a RN, working 12 hour night shifts I look forward to being taken care of on the boat.
I am taking my sister who just graduated from Surgical tech on her first Disney Dream Cruise, can't wait to share the excitement. My son Matthew
(17) will also be going with us. He loves the teen club.
I am sad I missed doing the FE, I would have liked my sister to experince it.
I had to book it late because I was saving up of it. I have some gifts I have already made and will probably just drop them off to some rooms. I really enjoy making the crafts.
Hope to meet up with everyone. It's going to be soooo great. :cheer2::cheer2:Evelyn

What's your room # for those of us who have made a few extras? Also you must come to out meet/greet at 3pm in vista lounge..that's for everyone on our board to say hello!we'll make her feel special!

If you search the DCL website, under planning, there is a list of options for Onboard gifts "Gifts & Amenities". I find the items pretty limited and expensive for what you get...you did not mention how old the triplets are...you might offer to cover the cost of an excursion activity for them, for example, on Castaway Cay (depends on how much you actually want to spend).

For $49 you can order a birthday decorations package, and for a Celebration Cake prices start at $32 and UP. A cake must be ordered 7 days in advance, so you need to do that right away!

We got our cabin assignment - deck 10 also. I was hoping for a deck that has only staterooms above and below, but for the VGT price, I wasn't going to be so picky!

Here's hoping that all of the folks from the Frozen North regions (including my DD24) make it down here in time to sail!

Hi there --we r up in NH & completely agree with you...fingers crossed for sunny days ahead!

A few of you have posted about not being in the FE group, but want to still participate in the "Disney Magic". I have made a few extra small crafts, that I would love to share with you. If somebody is looking for a little surprise on the trip can you post your stateroom # and maybe you will have something on your door.

Can't wait to see everyone in a week. :tink:

We are in #9168.

Great idea...pixie dust works wonders!

Has anyone booked with Country Inn before? If I book through Priceline, which I've never done, can I add the parking package? Thanks!

Hi Ellen,
I am waiting for them to assign our cabin number and will post it.
I am so excited, even if its one gift it will give the Cruise that Disney
Magic and that is what it is all about. We will be at the meet and greet.
Thank you again

Hi All!
This is my first Disney Cruise which is really crazy considering that I moved from NJ just to work for the company. I'm celebrating my triplet boys' 8th birthday (they turn 8 on the 22nd!), so I'm thinking it would be super fun to meet another CM with triplets too! What an amazingly lucky person that CM is to have a friend who would want to do something special for them! The company is full of people like that who become extended family and just plain love each other.
Hope we get to meet some of you! I'll be the half-crazed/half-frazzled looking mom with three boys who love the word, "Moooooommmmmmm"
Dana
Oh, we're on Deck 8 for now. :beach:

Hi Dana,

So post any questions and I sent you a private message (PM). You can find your PM's in the upper right hand corner of the board under your log in name. Click private message to view your messsages.

See you onboard!!

Well, now you guys have me stalking the Castaway Cay Port Adventures page in case someone cancels a cabana!

I did notice today that Cabana 16 isn't even listed at all. It's like it doesn't exist. Anyone know why?

I have an 8 month old who would love some cabana shade. I'm feeling lucky.

BTW, if anyone wants to cancel a cabana, you should totally do it! Just PM me first! :rotfl2:

Silly question... do we need to bring beach towels?

I believe Disney provides towels but I like a huge thick towel so I will bring my own! ;).

What does everyone carry in their carry on bag? I don't want to have a ton to lug around before we can get into our room. I'm thinking important docs, camera, sunscreen. What else should I add? How will we know when our room is ready? Thank you!!

Hi! I booked a few weeks ago but just found this site. I am traveling with my husband and my 4 year old son. This is our first Disney cruise and we are beyond excited! We live in Jersey and are ready for some warm weather. We are also praying that my son likes the kids club so mommy and daddy can relax a little!

We bring bathing suits, too. Cabins should be ready at 1:30, but it takes longer to get your luggage. There is a barrier that they remove when the cabins are ready.
