*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

I don't think they like to tell this. There is one counter where you pick up reserved tickets. But they also keep a list of events and their current prices to pay day of. We did pay a dollar or two more than the online price

This is also not guaranteed. I was there last year right at the opening and people were told all demonstrations for that date were sold out there were no extra tickets on that day so it varies apparently

Glad to find this thread! We are going to be at Epcot on Oct. 23rd, a Wednesday, I'm excited to check out the festival. There will be 4 adults and I've got my DS6 & DS4 going so I am glad to read the "tips", like arriving when Epcot opens!

Def looking forward to the different beers & wines! :thumbsup2

Can you buy a GC with your room key? Then you could pay off the room charges with the original GC.

No, they stopped allowing that a few years ago, which I find really annoying.

Just because I was curious and I knew I still had it... I checked my bill from the Flower Garden Festival this spring. I purchased and refilled my gift card with my room key. Not sure if they have changed back or what????

Does anyone know what people tend to wear to the 3D Dessert Discovery party? I was thinking we might like to dress up just a little rather than attending in our typical park clothes.

Assuming we manage to get tickets! :rotfl:

You should have no problems getting tickets for the 3D Dessert Discovery. The location is very large. When we went in 2010 & 2011, people were from park clothes to stuff a little bit nicer.

That would be great, if they did. I never understood why they changed it in the first place.

We will be at the Food and Wine festival the beginning of November. My husband really enjoys wine. I was thinking of getting him a ticket for the
Epcot Wine School.

Have you been?

Did you like it?

Is this something you could go to buy yourself and have a good time?

Thanks!

It is something you could go and enjoy as a single. The long tables are set up in rows and seating is not assigned.

We have been to several over the years. Enjoyment for us is based on the type of wine being discussed and tasted and the biggest factor is the presenter. If Andrea Immer Robinson is the speaker, we try to attend. She is knowledgeable and fun. Fred Dame know his material and is a good speaker. Sharon McCarthy is well versed but we don't care for her instructional style.
Very subjective on our part.
The schedule isn't out yet but when it appears at the end of the month, talk it over with your husband. Tickets are non refundable.

Thanks for posting that - yummmy!

I have just decided if I don't get the Chef Marketplace tour then I am gonna use that money for us to eat our way around the World! anyway, cuz those sure look good!

Oh my gosh some of these items look sooooo good. We'll only be there for a couple days around the W&D half, there is no way I'll have time or space in my tummy to try everything!

Hi all!

We'll be at Epcot on opening day of the F&WF. Does anyone know if this is an extremely busy day or if anything special occurs to open the fest?

We're fest newbies, so thought we might ask. Didn't even realize this was beginning when we booked our trip and was amazed at getting a Le Cellier ressie so easily. Sadly, we'll be stuffed long before dinner! Lots of great info and tips on this thread!::yes::
