*2013* epcot food & wine festival 9/27-11/11

At the beginning of the festival, the Chase lounge was set up with a charging area for phones. This was taken out, I think because the chargers were getting broken.

They always had soft drinks, coffee and tea available. Sometimes their soda machine was broken. No food that I recall except at the beginning they had some Werther's hard candies.

Unfortunately as the festival went on, offerings in the Chase lounge got slimmer and slimmer. It wasn't really worth the wait after a while. Hopefully they improve this year.
Thats's a shame. What's the setup like? Is it indoors or outside under a tent?

Indoors -- in the old Wonders of Life pavilion, which becomes the Festival Center during Food & Wine Festival and Flower & Garden Festival. Very comfortable. :goodvibes

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon/vacation for after our wedding this summer. We would like to know if and when Buddy Valastro will be attending the Food & Wine Festival this year. If anyone has any information on this, please let me know. This will help us to determine when and where we go for our honeymoon.

Sometimes the celebrities "leak" their appearance dates before they get announced, on their websites or elsewhere. If that doesn't happen, you probably won't see a list of events from Disney until the middle or end of July. The special event schedule (not the deminars) is generally released at a Tables in Wonderland event around that time.

They normally serve one, usually their Pale Ale, at the kiosk at the front of WS.

Nothing like a bigger setup where they are offering a bunch of their non-mainstream beers in addition to what you can buy at any package store?

Are any of the kiosks open after the Wine & Dine half marathon? I ask because my wife, two of her coworkers, and I are all running the W&D half marathon and we are looking forward to the after party to try some things. We are eating at Tutto Italia for lunch to carb up the day of the run and then not eating again until after the run is over (if there is a place to eat).

I'm figuring that if the kiosks are open then we'll be in for some pretty heavy crowds since the run is now sold out. I'm thinking that a lot of people bought "after party" tickets too. From the pictures I have seen it looks kinda busy.

Thanks in advance for any info. :)

DH & I will be walking/ crawling in the 5k and we had to buy the after party tickets, but you marathoners have it included with your entry( as well you should!!!). On the RunDisney site,if I'm reading it correctly, your entry not only gets you late entry into Epcot, but gives you access to the kiosks AND it says until 4am. But that's where I get confused. I can't tell if BOTH EPCOT AND the kiosks will be open that late, or if it's just Epcot. I purposely didn't make any dinner reservations Sat. Night because I assumed there will be plenty of kiosks open, but we really don't have that info either-who will be open late that night and who won't. I have no idea who would eventually have that info-this is our first W& D Festival AND we haven 't been to WDW in 12 years,so we're really flying without a net!!
PS - by the way,I see your signature -DH was in the First Cav in VietNam,our two oldest boys were also in the First Cav/ Fort Hood and my father is a WWII vet-Army Air Corps, B-25 bomber pilot. Go Army!!!!!!

Can the Disney dining plan be used to purchase food at the F&WF using snack credits?

Any counter service options are are unique to this time?

You can use snack credits for any food or non-alcoholic beverage at the kiosks. They do not include any item that features an alcoholic beverage. There was a dish that consisted of ice cream topped with Grand Marnier, that was not included in the dining plan options.

They don't accept CS credits. Snacks only.

Sam Adams usually does this at the festival. Not Sierra Nevada.

This will be our first food and wine festival, we are very excited! Are the food kiosks open the entire time the world showcase is open each day?

The food booths are open from 11-9. If there are extra magic hours the food booths do not apply to those extra hours.

We will be there for the last week, do offerings taper off at the end?

On Fridays and Saturdays they have been keeping the park open until 10. That's regular operating hours and the kiosks stay open. They do not generally remain open during any evening "extra magic hours."

They may run out of some items (usually beers.)
